banger matchup 😧😧
well after todays seems like g2 have such deeper map pool
2-1 g2
#MVGA
Pepper ecks has never had an easier game. Infact it's actually insulting for them and the fans that they have to participate in this lopsided contest. To be frank , calling this a contest is even egregiously generous, as it is, infact a one sided slaughter that #WGAMING will breeze past
This is merely a warm-up for ranked later tonight bang
Paper Rex 2-0 i forgot their name, that's how irrelevant they are
Man that's a mfing tough group but I BELIEVE IN PRX!! With SOMETHING in PRIME FORM, the team is shooting on both pistons with very less opening for a loss. G2 is hella strong too and their playstyle is exactly opposite to PRX but PRX has managed to find a way to counter em in the past and hopefully they won't be the one's to drop into the lower bracket!
Guys, I WAS RIGHT, PRX WON AGAINST G2 !!!
What an insane match, keeping everyone on the edge of the seat! Peak Valorant Gameplay that I can never forget, and they set the bar so up high!!
Winning rounds to and fro, ecos, individual clutches, IGL diffs, new strats, WHAT AN ABSOLUTE CINEMA of a series!
it's definitely not 1.7 v 2.0 odds..... G2 is not losing this
Pepperecks have never faced tougher matchups than in this playoffs. Everyone looks capable of beating them, and their tendency to choke makes it worse. At this point, it’s almost certain PRX aren’t winning this Champs.
The whole narrative of them being the best team in the world is nothing more than arrogance from their fans and region, just so they can feel like they’re competing with others.
We should start supporting underdog teams so the narrative of ‘underdogs winning Champs’ can carry on for future generations.
I don't think it's that easy to call. Last time they played together PRX won 2-0. I agree that G2 looks incredibly strong right now. On the other hand, it looks like PRX have really grown and worked on many of their problems. It will be a great match for sure.
i think thats the biggest load of bollocks. Anyone saying prx is the best team in the world would say it because they won an international, people are just biased against them. If Fnatic had won toronto they would be considered best team in the world no questions asked.
My guy. Your team has been hailed as the best team in the world for the entire freaking season without even winning anything. The glaze G2 gets from both fans and non-fans is crazy for a team that hasn't shown up for anything except regionals, lol. Take a backseat, and learn to give credit where due.
I will speak up when the time is right :

Yes, tell him the secret for you to have so many downvotes on every comment you make
brother thought I was a G2 fans lmfao. Get your fact check first before talking lil guy
just click my username and you will find the answer of why this thread even exists. Don't be an asshole and an idiot.. Choose one
No need to jinx this shit, prx 2-0
Feel bad for g2 right after dominating game like that, but good luck in the lower bracket my fav team number 2 👍
I think G2 will ban Sunset, and Prx will ban Abyss. Then, G2 will pick Ascent, and Prx will pick Bind. Then, G2 will ban Lotus, and Prx will ban Corrode. The decider will be Haven. Overall, I think G2 has a high chance of winning.
If it REALLY is Ascent, Bind and Haven.. methinks it's gonna be G2, PRX, PRX.. all close games, maybe even all OTs but PRX 2-1
G2-1 PRX
My goats already got their revenge on T1. Now it’s time for PRX to feel the heat.
Paper Rex - Had 5 more days to prepare.
Paper Rex - Has more VOD to review, since G2 played one match more than PRX in champs so far.
Paper Rex - Hold most recent H2H (2-0, Toronto)
Paper Rex/G2 - Both are in top form, i'd favor Paper Rex though. Since something is insane right now.
Maps: G2's best map is arguably Lotus. Paper Rex is also really good on Lotus. If G2 wins a map, it's probably Lotus.
PRX 2-1
(I love both teams <3)
"On a good day"...
What if Paper Rex has a good day then?
If they both play in their current form, Paper Rex should win + take my points in consideration, PRX had 5 more days to prepare, has more VOD to review, etc.
Time mais forte do começo do ano contra time mais forte agora... espero que PRX espanque todos os jogos e leve alegria pro Pacifico com primeiro champions deles. vou torce pela GiantX e Mibr tbm
PRX 2-1
first 2 maps OT then 3rd map is 13-8, first half is 11-1 and its a fake comeback heartbreak
thatswhat. Wgaming doesnt work when they are agaisnt discipline. mark my words
Prx 2-1 G2
Prx bans corrode G2 bans Bind, Prx picks Sunset, G2 picks Ascent, Prx bans Abyss, G2 bans Haven, Lotus remains.
Map 1: Prx 13-9
Map 2: 12-14 G2
Map 3: Prx 13-8
PRX bans Abyss :G2 bans Sunset : PRX picks Bind: G2 Picks Corrode : PRX Bans Ascent : G2 bans Heaven : Lotus Remains :
Bind: PRX 13 - 10 G2
Corrode : PRX 11-13 G2
Lotus : PRX 17-15 G2
PRX 2-1 G2
PRX will win 2-1, just like when Man U met Chelsea.
They will meet again in the final.

If PRX keep their groups form I'm confident they can hold off G2, but G2 could still very much take a map. All in all, 2-1 PRX
This gotta be banger of a match. Honestly hard to say who will win. GL for both
G2 2-0
Jawgemo & Valyn drop 44 40 ez champs
Kpooprex to lower then out from playoff 😹
It's a banger match tho... Just because a team lost doesn't mean they are bad or trolled/throw. Both teams played well and also threw rounds. It's just that one really has to win and one has to lose. Both teams did their best.
round 10. 4v2, advantage for PRX, yet still manage to lose the round LMAO. PRX pls LOSE now
g2 running it down every man advantage 5v3 jawg solo pushing then 5v3 again and leaf diving at them
choke2 back at it again
you don't deserve any trophy if you're playing like this
ok time to make a sub and kick leaf that whiff might have lost the whole event
What a way to start the playoffs! Both #1 on respective regions showing off. LFG!
Leaf throwing the Game with a Whiff. I think i never saw a big Whiff like this from Leaf before.
it actually happened against T1 on one of the maps in GF
Similar to this one
That 3v5 saved the map for PRX, otherwise they're pretty much broke in the final round
EDIT: Nevermind, I misremembered the financial situation, but it still massively helped to limit the economy for G2 (no Odin, two players on weaker guns)
leaf got to be that guy or its doomed he fucked map 1 hard all or nothing and we get Babybay in
to be fair corrode is a defense sided map
but i gotta say we REALLY could've won lotus, i mean it was 5v3 and forsaken wasn't looking at leaf.. if that's a 5v2, we win, get up to match point... break their eco... who knows what happens
I don't give a shit how many PRX stans this insults and incenses. This importing in one of THE MOST SUCCESSFUL, if not THE MOST SUCCESSFUL, coaches in EMEA history for some "fresh strats/looks" is exactly the kind of shit that Riot allows some teams to do that ruins the reputation of their game. Shit like this doesn't just happen in fkn CS, and that's why it'll always be the better FPS, and it's no surprise to me that Valorant's numbers are dying. Importing Mini is literally a fkn cheat code, dude, and if they win this tournament it's gonna be an extremely controversial win with the biggest set of asterisks you have ever seen. Riot just doesn't pay attention, or perhaps they just don't give a shit that some teams have unfair advantages, but there's a reason cs has been at the tip-top for 20 years with exception to short stints of success with Halo/COD and other shit like that.
"In official Counter-Strike tournaments, a team generally cannot bring in a new coach in the middle of an event. Rosters, including the designated coach, are locked once the event begins. Tournament organizers have strict rules regarding roster changes to ensure fair play and competitive integrity" - Meaning that the only exception would be if their coach LITERALLY came ill or was injured or had some serious, life dramatic event, then maybe in a case like this yeah, of course cs organizers would let a team sub in another coach. Other than that, though, absolutely not. Same with rostered players.
CS:
Literally the only thing that Valorant EVER gave cs is the "hey, let's drop this shit from 30 round sets to 24, cuz 30 is kinda insane" - Oh, thanks riot. Yet riot got literally everything else from cs(obviously), with the exception of singular, character abilities, which in turn really just makes their attempts to balance meta a constant headache for riot themselves.
The ONLY real innovation that riot made which cs can't match is unique character to character utility, and still I've always hated that because it gives distinct advantages to some players in certain situations. Heaven forbid the most flatfooted characters in the game like Cypher or Killjoy get caught in a 1v1 against raze who just picked up ult... GUESS WHO'S GONNA LOSE? Yeah, tough one.
And now we've got teams shitting all over the rest of the tournament with what should be seen as clear disrespect and rule breaking by importing one of the best of the best to help them through playoffs which, let's be honest, they're a previous AND VERY recent international championship team... SO... WHY do they need or deserve the help in the fkn first place? Wtf?
BS IMO. Having a sub check in for you is one thing, because that's an obvious "de-leveling" for a roster that's gotten used to working with a full 5 who can't be at an event together because of health or visa sht, but bringing in a coach to BROADEN a team's potential and scope of meta understanding in the middle of an event? Yeah, fk off on that. And before you PRX "Kings" come through with the criticism, I'll say this all important TRUTH-FACT to smear the hypocrisy in your faces early: If Mini had shown up to this tournament as the playoffs are just starting and threw on a G2 shirt instead of a PRX shirt and that was your FIRST playoff round game, you best BELIEVE about 50% of you would be bitching about it all over these threads, so I'm fully resolute that I've got every right to point this out and take my shots. And if you can't handle the shade or the truth, don't import literally one of the best coaches of all time in this game and expect no one to take issue. It's straight garbage, and a lot of people in these comments are gonna know I'm right. I could not GAF if you don't want to see it because it's just the truth. So go on then. BRING THE HEAT. I don't care if I'm downvoted to -1,000,000 because that'll literally just confirm it for me. Just know, as hard as you smash that negative symbol/dash, you're doing it in hypocrisy.
Regardless, hope the rest of the event is fun despite the PRX discrepancies
No one cares what your favorite teams are or which game you prefer. I'm spitting facts in your face, and if you don't like that, IDGAF
CS is a 10x bigger game than Valorant and it always will be, and it's partly because of dumb sht like this. There is a very good reason that CS event organizers don't allow dumb sht like this to happen in their events, and it's for exactly these reasons. PRX imported the "strategic edge" and I can't wait to see them win the tournament so they can have their asterisks championship. Not gonna bother me one bit, in fact I'd be thrilled. It would just prove my point
Import? what the fuck are you on about, youre acting like hes coaching them full time or something, when he literally said that he maybe reviews their practice vods likes once a week. And in terms of your arguement where all prx fans would be shitting on g2 if they brought in an extra coach, g2 literally has 3 FULL TIME coaches. While most teams have 2 and prx has 1 and a part time helper.
The point is that he hasn't... been coaching them full time... how did you miss that part? He was brought in to give them a tournament edge against every other team... an edge that no other team got...
I know if I were at an international championship event I'd probably be pretty happy to have one of the winnigest coaches in EMEA history join the squad to give us... I dunno... A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE...? DUH? Are you not paying attention or did you only read like three sentences like I expect you did?
You are saying this as if G2 or any other team for the fact of the matter cant pick up a coach, Like do you really think other teams wont pick up Mini if they could. He is the one who didn't go other people Its his choice in the end who he ends up with and trust me other teams can pick up coaches as well if they wished to hell I wonder why they are not doing it :V
No, I'm saying you shouldn't be able to do that in the middle of a fkn tournament. Other, far more established games like CS don't allow for that stupid shit, so why would Valorant unless they A) just don't give that much a shit about their game, or B) they don't give a shit if some teams get unfair competitive advantages, especially in regards to teams like PRX who are gonna ride the controlled narrative all the way to the finals off of a mini-champs boost. It's like a team buff/steroid. It's bullshit. No other team is doing that shit, and like I said, sorry to fk the script up for you and ruin the "surprise", but it's not a surprise anymore.
PRX international champs. Grats to them
i get ur point BUT
6.way bigger, more energized community(SOMEHOW, despite that game being around for almost a quarter of a century and Valorant being "the new flavor" of FPS) same point as before
7.better maps thats just preference
so please dont be a dumbass and get nice. ty
If your saying that mini just joined them during the tournament he's been helping them since before Toronto, he's just here in real life in Paris cause he lives in eu
You're acting as if Mini hasn't been not-so-secretly helping PRX since even before their Toronto run. This is just the first time he's stepped into the coaching booth on-stage. Even then, he has primarily helped out with defence halves, and that ended 6-6. Legendary crashout.
Also, shitting on Valorant and glazing CS is always going to get you downvoted in a Valorant forum. Don't act like some self-important weirdo talking about 'iF pRx fAnS dOwNvOtE tHiS tHeY jUsT pRoVe mE rIgHt' as if basically everyone else on this forum isn't going to dislike the 'hur dee hur valorant bad counter strike good' take.
Well no fkn shit, do you honestly think I said a word of what I said without being fully aware of that...? Wow, please, "stand and deliver". "Oh captain, my captain", what profound words you've said. I went into this full-send knowing that my comments were going to get completely torpedoed, you putrid dildo xD
dude u are 100% right dont listen to any of these bums. having a coach come in mid tourney is insane in any sport/esport and riot will let it slide because they dont want to anger prx glazers
PRX Stans get whatever they want, but because G2 is literally everyone's "Darth Vader" team, EVERYONE and their mother would be BITCHING them out if they pulled some bullshit like that.
Okay "pal", but when the game is a skeleton of it's former self and the community has imploded within the next two or three years, I'll see you back on CS. :]
Or are you one of those CoD tweens?
Look, I get it, it looks unfair that PRX have mini, but this doesn't magically turn them into gods. Mini is mostly helping with vod reviews, and they aren't shitting on the other teams. PRX still lost against GX on Ascent, and this 3 mapper against G2 was still down to the line. Even in Toronto with mini's help they lost to GenG and almost choked to TL. That's how good the other teams are. If you want to talk about unfair advantages, I remember seeing a video somewhere that demon1 chugged loads of redbull/caffeine for Champs 2023 GF, are we supposed to ban these now/get blood work done for the games?
And screw off with your comparisons to CS, that was irrelevant. I've played CS before last time, I've went to a Blast upper finals because I had a free ticket from a friend, and the crowd/venue was insane, yes, but it was comparable to Masters Bangkok upper finals and GF. And don't get me started on the gameplay. It was mostly early molly and smoke lineups, spraying through smoke and holding angles for a good while before just pushing sites. Literally EMEA Val gameplay. The sponsor at the arena was a gambling site (tell me how that is a better sponsor) and you are the only person trying to justify why CS is better with all these reasons, when so many other people literally say CS is better than Valorant because their CS skins can earn them money. That is so miserable when a game is not better because it is more fun but because it allows you to earn money.
If you can't stand Val, nobody is stopping you from going back to CS and just leaving us alone. Go ahead, do that, instead of writing an essay comparing the 2 games over something else.
I literally already play 5x more cs than I do Val, I just wanted something other than CS to emerge and become something special. Something that COULD compete with CS, but for so, so very many reasons, it just absolutely does not. Riot doesn't put near as much into Valorant as the CS community/backers/organizers do, and it's painfully obvious. That being said, there should be other games that are able to compete with CS, because yeah it's been at the top for so long it's managed to maintain dominance in the space and HAS had the time to get all the rules, expectations of orgs and players, expectations for events and everything else right, but riot is so horrible at paying attention to the right trends and emulating that.
It's not like other games haven't "been there, done that", but riot just doesn't care. It's a symptom of cheapness and lack of care for their creation, and it sucks to see. It actually does bother me, if that wasn't already apparent. I love this game, but I DETEST how horribly mismanaged it is, and it's partly lack of funding, lack of interest in actually bringing great events to the fanbase, lack of fanbase interaction, BUT I think it's also partly very weak rule sets and an incredibly weak understanding of the FPS Pro scenes that came before them. I just don't think they care that much. They're making money hand over fist in yet another game because of skins, and that's all they care about. If CS events have 30k in attendance to Valorant's 3k, well whatever I guess, but I guarantee you if they tried harder they could get people in stadiums. They just flat out don't.
With all their hundreds of millions they won't even fund ACTUALLY functional PCs, and their tech teams are just ass. I know there are people on those teams that work hard, but the comparison of them to the tech squads they have running CS events is an absolute joke. There's a very good reason you don't hear CS pros complaining about PCs or having to jump on SERVERS... to play LAN events... "WTF is even that?" Fk sakes, man. I'm not here because I DON'T care and am just a purely cs stan. I'm here because I DO care and I want something to be able to compete with CS.
Competition in a given market/scene forces ALL products/ALL people competing in that atmosphere to LEVEL UP their production and actually fun for better equipment, better experiences and better events at which MILLIONS of fans of Valorant would like to attend in varying places around the world. That doesn't change the fact that riot just gives us the most limp-dk effort ever. It's disgusting. You can argue all you want to, but there's a reason that the CS community absolutely blows Valorant's out of the water AND off of the server. And it's not just their "tenure at the top". I don't need anything more from CS. I don't need THEM trying harder to give the community what it wants and deserves. I do, however, need RIOT to give a shit and put forth some actually money and effort. Riot's cheapsht, though, and if you can't see that then you might be blind man, IDK
You know what, I respect the dedication now that you wrote everything out. I would like to have some counter point that it wasn't always like this for Val, and different regions have different productions. Look at Pacific stage 2 grand finals and China stage 2, with massive crowds /filled up venues and dare I say pretty cool production. EMEA is the only one that had horrible PCs that warranted enough pro players calling out to take time to replace them. And now it's Paris and it's under the shitty EMEA production
did world change writing all that? did valve gave you a contract already? please let me know man
It's not about Valve. It's about riot not pulling it's weight and honestly, not really trying at all. They already make enough money, so they can't be bothered to spend anything on REAL venues and actually well run events. They don't care enough, man. If you disagree then fine, we can agree to disagree, but when this game has completely evaporated from the public eye in about three years, you can think back on what I said here and realize I might have said a few things right.
Legit the only time G2 win a round when PRX throw the round by themselves. Interesting match regardless. 🫡
Don't know how PRX managed to lose two 5v3s against pistols and still is in this somehow
should have been 2-0 prx but forsaken cant shoot, this mf needs to stop aura farming and start playing
soysaken playing like a bot
edit: he opened his eyes just after I commented only to embarass me
only G2 can throw an 8-4 ASCENT ATTACK SIDE
only them
it's quite impressive really
something's meat is growing bigger in leaf's throat and they are starting to choke gg
Should be over once G2 get a gun round or two
Surely there's no way PRX can bring this all the way back from a 4-8 deficit after switching on attack?
The second half of ascent is the worst and most butt clenching bad Valorant I have ever watched
This match stresses me out for either team too much it's not even about the hatewatch now anything and everything is happening in this match bruh
G2 in the golden era, like that
G2 in the golden era, it’s right back
We too gotta find the throne, so
You too better mind your own, go
PRX is too good
Might just win the torunament. idk who else looks better than g2
What a match. Jesus! something and leaf played insane.
PRX are so damn consistent...
Leaf after carrying whole game and decides to throw the most important round
Hahahah this region is a joke stop the direct invites for Americass useless tier 4 bots
Nah G2 absolutely threw that they always manage to choke in games that matter 🤦🏻♂️
Not even close I say as my hands are trembling and my heartrate is at 2x. Well played to G2
This has been on e of the best Valorant matches I've ever watched. G2 was insane and leaf might be the best player in the world. Still they can't stop the CHOO CHOO
Holy! That was so entertaining! Forsaken on the last map was playing like he was out of this world! GGWP!

Very stressful rounds to watch, each round can give a heart attack and this match is one of the most tense matches I watch for the whole year.
Hope this will not happen again, right?
Like I said, this was the plan all along. PRX as a team can do whatever they want to including bringing in coaches late and whatever else. Don't care if he's assisted them "a bit over the course of the year", because he wasn't listed in staff until very recently, so this was always going to be subject to criticism, and rightly so.
PRX wins another international tournament. Grats to PRX. Sorry to spoil the narrative, but the script may as well be laying on the castor desk.
No, we were talking about mini when it was still 0-0... I could give a fuck about the score-line, PRX still won...
soooooooooooooooooo... what's YOUR point? Oh, you don't have one. Got it.
reply 2: Or did you not know that I was already talking about this a few hours ago? Read the thread, ffs...
Jeez, it's almost like mini... gave them... the edge... to... pull this one out... and... jeezums... maybe if... mini hadn't been there... THEY WOULD NOT HAVE WON THE FKNG GAME... YA KNOW...? It's almost as if that was the damn... POINT... I WAS TRYING TO MAKE... IN THE FIRST PLACE...?
holy hell, you're thick.
Holy cope use all that mouth to talk and eat and got nothing to show for, we lost bro that's all that matter if you can't win the game you are just a loser GG to PRX stop barking you chihuahua
Lol holyyy shit it's so embarrassing you type up whole ass essays to defend g2, imagine being this unemployed get a job bro
This is how the entire forum knows you didn't read dick. What I said was not in any way a defense of G2, it was a clear and glaring criticism of Riot and a complaint about PRX doing something that should be considered out of line in regards to the rules, but because riot is a pretty terrible company, it's allowed to fly when other, better FPS organizers don't let dumb shit like this happen. But please, talk more to me about how you missed the point completely, kidddddo :]
how do we even know that prx did not list mini maybe they listed him cause prx dont have assistant coach
All that mald bruh. It’s the 1st game of playoffs and you wanna find excuses. go ahead and do that but don’t try to act like mini helping PRX is sole reason they’re here in the 1st place. How come PRX actually had better results beating G2 with PANDA, their performance coach, over mini? 8/10 ragebait G2 fans so funny XDDDD
Doesn't matter, "bruh". GGWP and grats to PRX on another international championship. I didn't say mini's the only reason that PRX are "here in the first place". PRX is a previous international championship winning team, and that's very recent. They certainly deserve to "be here", but that doesn't change the fact that they only beat G2 by a couple of rounds, and if you don't think mini made the difference then you're an actual, room temp IQ trog, my boy. Like I said, I'm sorry to ruin the narrative for you, but this one's already been decided in the script.
You’re fighting a losing battle with this. Have you noticed why nobody cares that Mini is in the booth with Alecks? It’s because he was signed when EWC happened so he’s APART OF THE TEAM, not “assisted”. You should also point out how PRX actually did better against G2 with Panda than Mini since it matters that much to you. Cope so strong it fuels you to keep fighting for Gold2, respect.
He was a consultant for strategy and positioning, but I don't he was on the team in any official capacity, plus you have to be getting paid for that to be the case in the first place. Like I said, he's not been with the team as a coach, but whatever, if you want to say "that constitutes him being a coach" I don't think I care at this point. Just seems lame. Also, calling G2 "gold2" just because you don't like me is some bitchmade shit, lol. xD
holy shit, you G2 fans amaze me with your ignorance. You basically just defined an assistant coach as a "consultant". Mini IS getting paid and has been with the team since June. Sure, he wasn't there physically with Alecks during Toronto and EWC, but he is still a COACH... I might be bItChMaDe for calling G2 shit, but you are just plain stupid, figured since you are G2 fan
10/10 ragebait I'll pray G2 goes out with a bang in lowers so you don't have to make any more bs excuses
What kind of assistant coach do you know who has literally not met their team in person until the current event excluding years prior when said "assistant coach" was on another team for a completely different region? You say "but he's helped since JUNE" as though he's been there for years or something. Dude's been "assistant coaching" for a couple of months and you're acting like he's been there since the conception of this roster. xD
Is there something that says teams can’t hire coaching staff at certain times?
No, but that's part of my point. Riot doesn't pay attention to their own game. A lot of other FPS pro scenes do not allow for staff/coaching adjustments smack in the middle of their events. This was never as much of a criticism of PRX as it was a criticism of Riot being run by a bunch of dipdix. They're complete buffoons. It irritates me that PRX did this, sure, but I can't blame them for it either. It's what any smart team would do if Riot is too dumb to be present in their own pro scene/at events to catch things like this.
There's a reason this game is tanking with it's player base and viewership, and if you think that's got something to do with Riot doing a GOOD job managing things in the background of their game then we're not paying any real attention at all.
I agree on the Riot part, it's always messed up
but bro acting like PRX was trillion light years ahead of G2, It is a tough 2-1 comeback with 2 rounds diff each map, also what's wrong with G2 coaches? probably the best NA team coaches out there
Again... that's the whole rub with this...
Consider this. Mini is an extremely intelligent and proven talent when it comes to prep and strategy, and PRX pulled this win over G2 by just a few rounds total by the end of the series, correct?
Do you agree or disagree that there's a pretty good chance that mini... MIGHT... have been the edge for them here? Because if we can't admit that he probably was then there's no reason to have any in depth conversation on any topics like these to begin with.
I'm just trying to make a point that if Onur and d00mbros(disregarding language barriers) showed up to the event and threw on some G2 jerseys(or fk it, pick your damn poison, any other squad should be treated the same way) then I have to assume that there would be some fans of other squads pretty pissed about that. Is that fair?
Having the edge doesn't necessarily mean that the team should win, otherwise FNATIC would've won everything in 2023 instead of being bodied by LOUD, because they have the glorious coach Mini no?
And about val vs cs... it's a company and a community diff unfortunately
You're acting like this wasn't a close game, and that without whatever help Mini brought to the table, PRX would be getting steamrolled 2-0? Props to G2 for putting up such a good fight, but there were a bunch of 2vX's that unfortunately got thrown away, and not just clutched by PRX members stepping up (even if there were a few of those, too).
Oh, and G2 still has more coaches than PRX even with Mini's addition. Straight up saying Mini is worth two other guy's worth of analysis is complete cope.
I'm not acting like this wasn't a close game. The fact that it WAS A CLOSE GAME is even MORE to my point. How do you not get that? They won by the edge of a HANDFUL of rounds... so can you not at least admit that MINI could have been the difference? Maybe MINI gave them the edge? Because I don't feel like that's saying too much or that this is an unfair take.
If you're gonna argue with me, at least try to be good faith enough to admit when I might have a good point, and I think that I do.
Also, with the addition of Mini, they have the same number of staff including managers, so you're wrong there too.
Is there a reference to Mini being brought in late? Liquipedia shows he's been an AC since June.
Not that I think Liquipedia is to be the final source of truth but seems like he's listed as PRX staff in vlr.gg as well.
Edit: Also I disagree with this "PRX as a team can do whatever they want". If it's not against any rules any team could do the same so that point is moot.
Yeah, but what I was saying is that if i t's not a technical breaking of the rules, then "PRX can do whatever they want", which any other team could have as well. I just have an issue with riot not having any forethought with shit like this, and like I said before, there's a reason other FPS pro scenes have rules against bringing in coaches late. And as far as my understanding Mini was only listed because he was consulting with the team since June on strategy and positioning, but that's not technically being on the team. He could do that and still not be getting paid. But if that constitutes that he IS on the team in some way, then whatever I suppose
https://www.vlr.gg/player/3323/mini
it says Mini joined prx in june 2025
You most definitely weren't saying that, perhaps meant to imply it but vaguely so.
I'm not PRX staff and I have no clue about the details of Mini being added as a coach and I agree that Riot should have strict rules about these stuff; but don't flame a team for something they haven't done
Riot vs Valve = different philosophies.
CS wants “IGL + 5 players solve everything themselves.”
Valorant wants “teams + coaching staff + adaptation.” Neither is wrong, they’re just different design choices.
Mini isn’t a cheat code. He can’t win a duel for Forsaken. He can’t clutch a 1v3 for something. All he does is help the team refine strategy — which every team has access to. If G2 wanted Mini, they could’ve signed him too.
Roster/coaching changes mid-year happen everywhere.
CS has emergency player/coach swaps.
Dota, LoL, CoD — mid-season transfers happen constantly.
If Riot allows it under their system, it’s within the rules. Period.
CS better because stricter?
Cool, CS has legacy. But Valorant’s different because it has agents + abilities that’s the point. Complaining about that is like whining that basketball isn’t football.
And lmao about “bigger events” — Champions 2023 filled Kia Forum, Champions 2025 filled Accor Arena in Paris. Riot’s events are just as stacked.
PRX were already world-class.
They didn’t magically become insane because Mini sat down.
Mini just reduced trolling, gave structure. The god-tier firepower was already there.
Seems like all the G2 fanboys are crediting PRX win on mini lmaooooooo
PEPREX PEPREX PEPREX PEPREX PEPREX PEPREX PEPREX PEPREX PEPREX PEPREX PEPREX PEPREX
what a game by leaf on ascent but my goat forsaken just refused to lose today, nt g2 gg
pooper x? won Toronto. Won 3 times regionally and finished top 3 in countless tournaments. You are saying that just because they owned your favorite Sentinels
Thank God we were able to close the banger game out at the end (rip corrode :( )
sadly at this rate we're getting smoked by FNC and TH.
Golden Era ? more like Golden Shower the way they got pissed on by PRX lmao
PRX fan here and I don't know what you mean by "pissed" because it surely was as close as it could be.
Choke2, actually can win all 3 maps.
Smh keep getting clutched and for leaf to choke on the most important rounds after carrying all game for some reason.
