People thought they would be g2 level with their talent, but kaplan isn't coming up with the same strats as josh. Completely agree, they need someone like potter to coach, she is incredibly innovative with her strats and always makes amazing results from basically nothing.

2) it's not the age, it's how much time derke has been playing valorant at a pro level, it really wears someone's brain down and makes them slower, especially for a duelist who is supposed to entry and have quick reactions (like he's supposed to be opping, he needs quick reflexes unlike boo). Kaajak is just faster than derke and he's still 20. By the time he's 22, I think he'll be much slower than he is rn.

yeah, i feel bad for g2 since they definitely have been the best team overall this season (they won their region both times, then got 2nd/4th in internationals - only 3 teams even qualified for both internationals, and the other 2 did worse than g2 in both), their consistency is just unmatched
but most of that was tejo farming, so idk - I do think tejo will be buffed again (because they nerfed him into the ground), but not quite to the same level.

right now kaajak cuz he absolutely diffed derke when vit played fnc (on all 3 maps), and also no offense derke is getting old, kaajak's aim is looking crispy.

In derke's prime, i think he's better than kaajak rn, but i do think kaajak will get better (hopefully better than derke's prime) so i'll say kaajak

I understand that, but he sucks on the 2nd half regardless of whether or not it's attack or defense (haven was defense, lotus/ascent/icebox were attack, typically icebox is an attacker-sided map too)
And don't you think you should be able to perform 100% the entire game for a whole game, rather than just 1 half every time?

I was looking at the stats, and he pretty much just collapses in the second half, even if they draw the first half -
on Lotus, he went 12-3, then 4-3 (which is still good, but obviously not as good), I'll just ignore sunset since it was so short.
On Icebox, he went 14-6, then 4-12
On Haven, he went 18-5, then 4-10
On Ascent, he went 9-7, then 2-10
That's some pretty terrible 2nd half collapses no? I feel like FNC would've won the finals if they just kept up his insane performances in the second half, but it just didn't happen - and it's not like it was a attack-side or defense-side nerf, he played good on the first half regardless of what side he started on, then bad in the 2nd half regardless of whether it was attack or defense.
Don't get me wrong, he still ended 84-61, +23, and everyone on TH was negative, but it's still pretty bad.

b) FNATIC go undefeated and start 2-0 in gf, then go to 2-2

its officially an off season tournament. But the prize pool is FAT like you said, so some teams do care about it. That being said, champs is the end goal for most teams, so many teams don't want to leak their prep ahead of stage 2, but i guess some don't care/proivde fake prep.

kinda seems like it LOL they cannot manage to beat fnatic in any final. Last one against fnc (emea stage 1 finals a month ago) was basically just as shit.

honestly ascent and fnc were absolute masterclasses from fnc. The fakes and reads comign out from boaster were world class on both maps, particularly on split. it was a treat to watch the calling. Also kaajak, chronicle, and alfa popped tf off. Watching the sniper aim coming out from alfa and kaajak was great.

th going to get their mental destroyed again, especially knowing they lost to fnc twice (and last two times it was NOT close AT ALL). They look good, then go into a gf and absolutely disappear.
