As a PRX fan I can understand them picking abyss since Breeze (their stronger map) is out and replaced by Abyys (their super weak map) so I can see them practicing it.

But they just look so lost man. The ult usages were horrendous as well. Hopefully they brush it up going into champs...

-Summit is looking good
-Split and Sunset which were their strong maps are all looking shaky right now
-Ascent and Breeze are okay-ish, I know they have been wining Ascent recently but the scores are kinda close
-Haven has been their permaban
-Lotus - they haven't touched this map in a while, but last they played in London and EWC they were absolutely getting cooked.

Nah this team crumbles under the slightest hint of pressure. I know they wanted to win this game for DFM, but was the pressure really that much for them to fall back to their ego peeking ways? Davai made Sunset way closer than what it was supposed to be.

Mid? Seriously? Definitely not very consistent, but the players have shown to individually step up if need be.

And besides, Invy was already great on TS, which was why PRX wanted so desperately to get him, and he has shown he's impactful on PRX too.

Yeah I know creativity doesn't mean it will translate well, that's why I said he needs to take it a step further and go more in depth with more analysis, and use this stage 2 to figure out a system that works with forsaken being an IGL.

I don't understand why people still keep saying PRX is still limited to double duelist. They have already been playing more maps with single duelists, Fracture as the new map to do so (on top of Icebox, Sunset, Ascent and Bind I believe).

To address your other reply of running meta comps, the issue is there isn't really meta comps nowadays for some maps - people are all trying new things nowadays. And even if there are meta comps, both teams will understand the strength/weaknesses of the comp, so at the end of the day they will have to rely on their aim to take duels and win them. For agent combos, they have been doing their own ones for ages. Back in 2022 (and even now) they run the Fade eye + Omen smoke + Raze satchel to get kills. And on Sunset they have had creative agent combos with the Sage wall + Omen TP on A site, and Sage wall + Raze satchel on B main.

I say let forsaken be the IGL. He is one of the most creative player on the team - I believe from old vlogs he helped created some unique comps, he is also one of the earliest to adopt Yoru in pro scene all the way back in 2022 (we can see how other top duelists struggled), and he has also shown adaptability from his agent pool ocean. Now use all those creativity, and take it a step further by analyzing their opponents and having a better understanding of the map/comps. If PRX can actually elevate themselves past the "robot mode when Alecks calls an anti-strat" they'll finally lift another international trophy.

And if his confidence suffers because of that, not saying it to diss him, I don't care so long as it can win them games. I feel he is too aggressive as an Omen player. I have gotten shit from other PRX fans for saying his aggressiveness is a double-edged sword, and I think that definitely got exposed in the most recent grand finals. On Breeze during defensive retakes his Neon keeps running in by himself with no trades available. On Lotus defensive half he just keeps pushing for info unnecessarily (imo) and just dies. If he is already dying first without getting to shoot properly, he's gonna tilt anyways. Play safe, let his teammates engage first then trade them. And when it comes to clutch situations, let his aim do the talking.

I don't think they were favourites coming into Santiago, I'm pretty sure people were looking at NRG or G2 or something? Even NS was in the talks because it was a Neon meta and they had the best Neon in the world. PRX had to fight through 3rd seed in Pacific and they weren't looking convincing. I think It was only when they beat NRG in the lower finals did people felt they gonna win it all, only for them to fall so flat in the GF.

And overhyping =/= fluke. While I do agree people are overreacting in London only after winning one game, you can't deny they are a top tier team for getting 1st, 4th and 2nd in 3 continuous intls. Name me another team that is able to do something like that.

You don't need to tear down their past achievements just because you feel they are overhyped rn. Heck, I can say some bullshit like NRG fluked champs because they didn't fight PRX then, given how PRX won against them 1st and 3rd time in Santiago. But it just looks stupid. A trophy is a trophy, congratulate the winners and we move on.
