I love that now all the 1st seed are out they’re all complaining about the format. It surely can’t be their fault that they failed to prepare properly and use the extra time allotted to them effectively . No it’s the format and since they’re the 1st seed we have to take them seriously. But if all the group stage teams lost people would’ve been silent because that’s the expected outcome. And any team that would’ve complained would have been told they should’ve won domestically if they wanted the large advantage.

How can any Tier 1 org that's sending their full team to play in the ewc honestly say they care about winning Champs? You're putting your roster in a tournament right before what’s likely a new map pool, plus balance changes based on what happened b/w Bangkok to Stage 1.

And if your team makes it to Toronto and goes deep, there’s basically no break before EWC—and then Stage 2 probably starts around July 22, just days after EWC ends.

There’s no way players who were already complaining about burnout last year wouldn’t feel it even worse if they go through all of that.
