He is underrated by people because of his height by season 3 people who underrate him are narratively just treated like a joke by those around who KNOW how good he is. Idk what you mean by "any" training camp considering there was only two. Which the youth training camp that literally only a handful of the best players made it to and the second was Miyagi prefecture which only 1 of his teammates was invited to anyways so that's still rather exclusive? Which mind you was literally specified to be only because Washijo himself when he was younger was also short and essentially just doesn't want to accept that Hinata achieved what he couldn't and quite literally beat his team lol. So Hinata would have been invited if not for this grudge and that's with admittedly being mediocre in terms of skill. His biggest weakness is that he does severely lack fundamentals because his middle school didn't have a club. He rides purely off of his raw talent. Which is why the idea that he's a loser is very ironic as he's pretty much the exact opposite. His fundamentals suck but he's just that talented and was good enough for this training camp even with these lackluster fundamentals.
