Idk I didn't watch it. Like most people I prefer to only watch real valorant and none of the mickey mouse stuff. Only real tournaments with at least 460k peak viewers such as the Game Changers Championship are worth watching.
Is double initiator even good? Out of the top 6 teams in Toronto only 2 played it on more than 1 map (G2 and SEN)
Why did they even sign a duelist player just to make him play recon so they can run double initiator comps (literally the worst kind of comp currently, double duelist/smokes/sentinel all clears)
Double initiator is ass rn but I agree with replacing bang with trent though since trent can play viper and n4rrate can play 2nd duelist depending on the map

Double duelist definitely isn't ideal on every map but they'll just have to make it work. It's working for ENVY and it worked for T1 in bangkok

GC Champs is a greater tournament than EWC
People like to talk a lot about prize money but players don't just play for the money. Let's take soccer as an example. If money is all that matters then most great soccer players would move to the Saudi league in a heartbeat. But that isn't what's happening now is it? No, players also play to build a legacy and the legacy you can build by playing in the Saudi league is a joke compared to what you can do in Europe.
The same applies to Valorant. If prize pool was all that mattered then every single player would prefer to place 2nd in champs rather than win a masters, which is obviously not the case. The prestige of this tournament and the legacy you build by winning it is less than what you'd build winning Game Changers Champs. GC champs not only had higher peak viewers but it's also a tournament people will look back on and remember in the future unlike EWC. The players who play for the legacy just won't try as hard in this tournament as they would in masters, champs and probably even regionals. This tournament just simply isn't as competitive as a masters or even Fluke//in.
Players don't play just for money they also play for the legacy and the legacy you build by winning this mickey mouse cup is less than what you would build winning GC champs. Hell this tournament even has less peak viewers than GC champs.
VCT Americas and Pacific had higher peak viewers than this tournament. This might just be the mickey mousiest tournament in the history of all mickey mouse tournaments.

No this is way better. In fact it's the greatest tournament in Valorant history. The production and observing of this event is truly unmatched. My favorite part is when they take random pauses during the games on the b-stream so the players can relax and truly appreciate the greatness of this tournament.
