EG just clears. The only reason they lost Tokyo was cause they had no practice with Demon1. If they met in champs it would've been a bloodbath.

how many days did demon1 miss scrims? they had been practising with him for almost the entirety of the americas league so I don't know how practising with them those days they scrimmed with apoth would have resulted them winning tokyo, on top of that they lost 3-0

I don’t understand this, they had a break between the group stage and playoffs to learn stuff. They also had time to learn without reformed during their group stage matches with demon. And the breaks between their upper and lower final match

I've seen a lot of people say this, but in my head, its not about the gameplay, it's about the talent and cohesion of the teams. At the end of the day, these are professionals and its their job to adapt to the game, and there are plenty of examples of players from 2021 who are still playing at a high level.

These older teams wouldn't just be teleported and instantly get into the current game. They'd be at their individual peaks and be familiar with the current meta.

But then again, these are all hypotheticals so think how you want.
