VCT Stage 1 literally qualified teams to EWC and gave advantages in the qualifiers (byes for the 3rd/4th placing teams in each region). VCT decided the teams at EWC (this cannot be mickey lol)
Next, there is the 1.25mil prize pool.
Then, in the playoffs, all quarterfinal matchups had a coin toss decide which teams would get the choice for Team A and Team B (not even based on seedings so no flukey group teams have an advantage - BBL)
This event literally cannot be mickey mouse.
The best teams from VCT Stage 1 are competing, the best team will win (single-elim and no map advantages in finals), and top that off with the high prize pool.
