what canezerra has done:
made a weird, edgy rape joke at his ex <- not okay, however there are levels to bad behaviour, and that is not "one year hardware ban" level - esp considering the girl didn't seem to have a problem with it in the messages she posted, feels like she just knew it would make him look bad and posted it to get back at him post breakup
made a "cp joke" in ranked <- also weird, but again, we don't know the ins and outs. was it an epstein joke? if so, why is the majority of the playerbase not banned? the whole world has made diddy/epstein jokes for years? is that "entire year banned from touching any riot product" level?
i think it's a different argument to say "this behaviour is normal and perfectly okay" to "a year long hardware ban prolonged until just before he was eligible to go pro for maximum impact is probably not a punishment proportionate to the crime" considering matchfixers, sexual harassers have had less harsh punishments
sinatraa got six months for refusing to comply with an investigation into an actual sexual assault case!
is "teenager that spent his entire youth inside his room on his computer has edgy shock humour" worse than people like this potentially committing actual crimes? i just dont think the punishment fits the crime. if it was just "yeah you're banned from competing for stage 2/champs until you have proven your behaviour has improved" i think that is fair. but this feels like making an example out of him
