choosing between sayo or cane on your team is like choosing the nicest guy in prison
Icy had like 2 great games on EG and that was about it
Heretics had so much goodwill back then, players and coaches. Truth is the Honeymoon period ended awhile back and they've been ass for awhile now. Players fell off, all of them. Woot used to be thanos, Benjy was the #2 senti player behind Meteor, people already considered Riens one of the best players without a trophy. But they're a slog to watch now. Coaches have trolled with their decisions. I still remember the 0-3 loss against TL. Literally the worst valorant I've ever seen. It's like everytime you watch them now it's depressing valorant.
lol Just like Miniboo left on his own, now Comeback leaves on his own. If you believe any of this you're an NPC.
"slammed by the fans"
He has nothing to lose. It's not like he's going to get a better opportunity right now. Think of it like Demon1 subbing in for C9. Dude FRIED and got immediately signed. Worst case scenario is people say he's washed, which people already think he is.
I have no idea how Coconut got picked up after looking like the worst player at Champs last year, if you don't think China has had a recycling players issue you're crazy bro.
I think this JDG roster doesn't have as high of a ceiling as we thought they were going to have when Zhe and Bail joined.
I don't think anyone has ever said these words together before
SEN SICK SUBBING IN FOR JERRWIN
Boo is kind of a non-impact baiter in the server but clearly the TH coaches like him a lot and memea has just as bad of an igl problem as China does. Comeback is probably going to get a cozy job with his friends on BBL or another Turkish team in t2, EF will be off the table for him if they do well and decide to keep their roster.
With how Wolves have been playing, DRG 2-0 is the 'logical' outcome but they're a 50/50 team. They're either shooting like crazy or hard throwing. Wouldn't be shocked for a Wolves 2-0.
Well I'm not sure if it's so much as Kickoff teams falling off, or more so that the good teams just weren't good yet if that makes sense. Kickoff is a weird period where mostly everyone plays like shit. There were only like 3-4 kickoff teams that had it together.
I think we should see how well they do with their current roster, the stage isn't even finished and they just stomped BBL and had a back-and-forth with FNC.
Team loses nothing with Comeback leaving considering they were ass with him and already on a downward spiral before him. It was a bad pickup of a good player that didn't fit the team. It's risky to make a mid season change though, and I haven't heard about Koshmaras until now.
It's typical contrarianism. There's been a hundred threads about Comeback being ass but then when he gets dropped he has a ton of goodwill. I do think some hate against TH management is fair because dropping someone midseason is probably a terrible decision.
But TH's loss against NAVI was unacceptable. The rounds they were losing were unacceptable. They've been ass for too long and this clearly goes beyond stats. Comeback was a bad replacement for Miniboo to begin with, he's a 'hold angles' type of player, best with an awp. There was a language barrier. He forced other players onto different roles. Just a bad pickup of a good player.
Pretty sure he's staying for the whole year until MIBR inevitably fails to reach expectations around Stage 2/Champs and then they'll have to cut him before '27.
I don't think any player has had a... falling out with fans? as much as Rossy. This guy had so much goodwill after leaving T1 and getting snaked by C9. Then after LEV imploded and joining Envy it's like no one cares if he drops dead, turns green or bursts into flames.
My personal opinion is that he's been ass on Envy and is just happy to be there. I think his passion for the game ended after the C9/Lev disasters and his stock fell lower and lower anyway.
his peak was two life games on a shit team
I hate that JP t2 is more lucrative than t1 but I don't see JP losing 2 slots. Maybe one of the orgs gets replaced by Fennel?
TEC have always struggled to have a win condition, but they've almost always been a competitive team taking maps off of the better teams in the region. BLG were exposed for not being as good as people thought they were going to be in Stage 1.
Group Alpha is a weird group, because I feel like any of those teams could beat the other on any given day in that group.
Luckily no one at Riot bases these things on the braindead takes of vlr and redditors. There is no world where KC, the JP teams and JDG are getting removed from franchising.
justice for bud
NOVA is objectively worse than FPX right now
FPX might not be the worst team in CN anymore but they're still not gonna do shit, their roster doesn't have a win condition. Similar to TEC.
Criminal charges for VCT engagement bait on X at this point
Your roster looks right to me. Kangkang/Slowly/Happywei is the absolute best core you could have for a CN team. I'd pick Scales over K1ra but like you said, K1ra has been tested internationally. Scan could be several players really, Nobody/Shr1mp/Viva etc. They're all around the same skill level, but I guess Viva has a lower floor.
Coaching in China is dreadfully limited when you're looking at the lineup. No wonder things haven't improved when you got Muggle, After, 24k and NathanD still shuffling around after years on fraudwatch with their questionable decisions. Destroyer's the safest bet for an international run.
I have Helix, probably my #2 phantom that I own but I prefer Nocturnum and I wish I bought it
Youze is a duelist main tho? adding him should mean that K1ra is taken off duelist to play igl in a support role and Youze/F4ngeer would be the double duelist combo for the team. Signing FFs would have made the most sense
GENG is so ass we're trying to sneak Estrella back into tier 1
CN: Septem7 or Swagzor
EMEA: Qpert (Kolosha doesnt count)
APAC: Rimuru i guess
Americas: We don't know yet but surprised cauanzin survived another loud shuffle
Duelist igl has almost never worked, so it makes sense for K1ra to have that burden taken off him because he is a very good player. Unfortunately there's few igls in the CN region and even fewer good ones. Biank was having medical issues but he comes to mind.
Random Berlin life map but still a TYL 2-0
Tbh idk what the fuck happened to cb, dude played with no brain on EDG and was hardcore throwing in Santiago. But I guess he was never a great player before EDG anyway, he was just able to shoot heads while on a bad team.
Meiy probably, I've always wondered how well he'd do on a competitive team. If he stays on JP teams his whole career he'll be one of the biggest 'what ifs' in the game
Chichoo/KK are looking in good form and Jieni has improved too
People stopped making excuses for Monyet a long time ago, he's just good enough to have a comfy spot in t1 but don't bet your house on him
RRQ actually falls into that second category
Jemkin KJ is criminal activity
LOL that was quick, unfortunately we still can't get a fucking surprise good team from China for Stage 1 I guess. Here I thought Wolves and Trace might get their shit together. Back to XLG/EDG for internationals again.
I feel like FPX/AG/JDG are all sort of on the same level right now. AG have looked significantly worse with Septem7. I think all 3 of these teams could beat each other on any given day. I guess JDG is the stronger of the 3 but i'm not sold yet.
Seems like they've landed on a good roster shuffle for once. FengF was pretty washed and Luok1ng should have been dropped awhile ago instead of Martin. Delb is always shooting like crazy so that helps.
duelist igl is wild
Lakia clearly isn't as good of an igl as Munchkin was for GENG but there's other role, performance and roster issues. Subbing out Ash for Foxy9 is a terrible attempt at a fix. And fact is, Karon isn't the player he used to be. He really needs to step up.
A lot of talk about a player who hasn't made it to an international in 2 years
Valorant fans are so desperate for their to be a donk or zywoo of valorant that they hyped up Glacier, a player no one even watched in t2 to be a nuclear bomb in the CN region, shows you how boring the game is right now
peaked at the right time, the definition of a fluke run, aside from Spring the wolves players weren't even playing THAT good
