if two people are in an argument about smth, and one person uses an ad hominem fallacy to try to win the argument, the other person has the right to point out that their fallacy has no actual claim to winning the argument. in this way, the use of the fallacy is related to the argument at hand, since it was invalidly used within the context of it.
please next time dont act intellectual but then be anti-intellectual; just commit to being anti-intellectual or actually substantiate your points
