There are no overrated players, everyone has their peaks and their lows
there are players that tend to get rated highly compared to their achievements/plays. its not a BAD BAD thing to be overrated. Last time a lot of NA players were rated really highly because they had more coverage back in like 2020/2021 while some APAC players were less appreciated.
Then the APAC players were underrated , not that NA ones were overrated. Overrated means getting more recognition/reward than one deserves.
nah, some were really rated highly. like you said, getting more recognition than one deserves. if some players are underrated, then there are players who are overrated. its not a bad thing, but a normal occurrence in every sports/esports scene and it just varies by people's opinion.
i personally thought Izu was rated too highly coming straight from jp challengers, and he was underwhelming at first but not anymore, he is as cracked as people rated him to be. its normal thing, happens so much in football or any sports too

i guess that's Derke. his bitchass always get carried by chronice and alfa. also boaster does pretty much decent calling to set him up. But as a playmaker he is just hot garbage. He is the reason FNC had a terrible year in 2024 and had to give duelist role to alfa to save his bitchass again.

I have a few that are all tied. ZMJJKK, Chronicle 2022-2024, cNed, asuna, C0M. Kang Kang gets so overhyped it’s crazy he had 1 good tournament and it ended with a 6th place finish. Chronicle was good in 2021 and since then he has consistently been one of the worst players on his teams up until the past month. cNed had 1 good tournament in 2021 and people still glaze him for it when he hasn’t accomplished anything since. Asuna and C0M even though they are hated so much already for how shit they are, it should be 100x worse to show how bad they really are.
Kangkang did play very good in 2023, and I don’t think it was wrong to hype him up then especially considering how he lifted a historically mid team into the international spotlight. Sure, that same amount of hype may not be applicable now but his skill has always been there. Even now he still performs but his teams run of bad form nowadays really drag his name down.

Kangkang, Tenz, Asuna, Cryo, foxy9, flashback, sScary, Jemkin, Governor, and every JP pro-players except Dep, Sugarzero, and meiy.
Crashies is kinda ass. He's just a mid as fuck Initiator, at least Victor is good at making space for his team while crahies is just ass when compared to the field. He lacks the versatility that's needed by Initiator players too. With the NA teams, is Crashies better than any of them? The closest is Nature who is also the IGL, and is more versitile.
Coming next year, how do you explain this guy on a tier 1 roster over Verno or Rossy. You just can't.
