Derke
Chronicle
A 17 year old
Jamppi, who was almost out of tier 1 last year
Profek, a player who hasn't qualified to a single international event

Little confused by people constantly calling this roster a superteam and comparing it to their last year's team

#2

shhh let us call them a superteam so the expectations are sky high for when they inevitably fumble again

EMEA getting gazlighted by APAC is crazy T.T

But to be fair, my expectation for Vitality are really low, it's a Mid-ass team everything they touch become mid or ass, even the greatest player

(I like Chron and Jamppi in the same team, we needed a femboy superteam)

they're doing an NRG impression and nothing can save it short of +sayf -sayf fns impression next year

One of the best duelists in the world
One of the best players in the world
One of the best initiators in the world
One of the best igls in EMEA
One of the best controllers in EMEA

In other words.

Bro Saya hasn't even played a T1 game yet and we're calling him "One of the best initiators in the world" 😭 😭 😭
This is how you get people to hate on him btw

"i will come back to this"
So basically you're admitting you're prefiring a title on someone for no reason when they haven't done anything to show that

He has shown it, but next year this guy will believe it as well since he doesn't yet.

you can't show anything if you've never played tier 1

I will not remember and I will not care

even if he does become the best initiator in the world, he is currently not one now because he has not yet played in tier 1 so your point still makes no sense

No, he is already. He has shown it in tier 2.

Sayo must be the kid with whom leo was pregnant. If the superior genes are passed, we might see the birth of valorant again.

I am perfectly fine with you hating him. Wasnt different with kaajak and woot. Everytime you hype up a super rookie other regions get butthurt about it just because they haven't seen him do his thing themselves yet.

Time will prove us right. Dont really care

People will always be doubtful about rookies, but I think looking at recent trends its a lot more likely than not that he ends up being great. Theres always the "what if he doesnt perform in T1" narrative and its almost never true, the only exception maybe being comeback and even he wasnt that bad, so he might perform up to his level on a more functional team next year. Imo Saya is the last thing people should worry about for VIT. I dont think this team is a superteam but I highly doubt they will flop like last years vitality. Seems like a team with good vibes and thought out roles (which chron obviously helps with a lot). The only concern I might have is between sayo and jamppi since they both probably want to play scan initiator but it shouldnt be difficult to make one of them play senti.

One of the best duelists oat
One of the best flexes oat
a very good t2 prospect
two solid t1 players.
Def not a superteam, just a very good one.

? have you watched vct at all this year?
Derke is still one of the best itw
Chronicle is the best flex itw (you could make a case for f0rsaken but in EMEA it's 1000000% Chron)
Jamppi and Profek were both absolutely insane in stage 2 emea
Sayonara is a top prospect in EMEA
how is this not a super team

if it was minny and suygetsu over jamppi/'profek i wouldve called them team homelander but its still a very solid team

i think its more the 3 unknowns. when FNC made their team in 2023, it was literally: the best igl in EMEA/top 5 itw, the best duelist in EMEA/top 5 itw & one of the best flex players itw, then they added both of the best probably 1st and 2nd initiators in EMEA. Team Vitality have a talented rookie from t2, a newish IGL who has been ok throughout the year. and finally PROFEK who is probably top 5 maybe top 3 controller in EMEA.

what even is their roster right now? I currently see NINE (9) players in the lineup

#37

It'll be
Profek
Jamppi
Derke
Chron
Sayonara (he'll miss kickoff i think due to age, someone will be stand in for now i think)

#53

im pretty sure kicks is still signed and he plays similar roles to sayonara so it would make sense if he was playing in kickoff

#52
Chazzicle_
0
Frags
+

well derke and chron should go without saying
sayonara is a REALLY hot prospect, obviously time will tell how he performs in t1 but expectations are high for a reason
jampii and profek, even though they didnt get to any internationals, performed very well last year and there is also a lack of igls in emea so to find one that can call at a good level is a good thing + jampii has a lot of experience in general

but i would say that just derke and chron alone make it almost a superteam, and then all of the other players are very good and so it for sure warrants the title of a superteam, it is a team made to win trophies and dominate

#55
gold2peak
0

If derke + chronicle = superteam you could say fnatic with leo was a double superteam

#59

If u know ball then u understand why this team is incredible, from the coaching staff to the players. Sure, if u look at achievements they have a couple players who havent achieved much and a rookie but if u have actual insight to the EMEA scene u would know that this lineup is very well thought out and these are some of the most highly rated individuals among players/coaches in the scene. Specially Sayonara, this kid is probably the biggest t2 talent ever and imo just from eye test he is already a top15 EMEA player, could very well be the best player in the region already but he is yet to prove it so we gotta be conservative but he was literally farming international players and some of the best EMEA players in pro 10 mans during champs

What matters more is the chemistry tho, ofc it is easy to build a superteam in a way, but the main thing is if the players in the superteam will mesh well with each other. Look at this year's vit, sure, they had a superteam on paper, but it all went poorly due to lack of synergy.

#80

You are 100% right, I think with Jamppi, Chronicle and Pal they will create a nice enviorement since they bring proper leadership unlike last year

#73

I know all about emea and these players, i like them all but this is simply not a superteam. A great team? Sure

#81
looola
0

idk what superteam even means, its such a stupid label imo but its one of the most stacked rosters I have ever seen in terms of potential so I could consider it a superteam

#75
Yuniee44
0
Frags

Theyre still not a super team though. Theyre objectively just a worse version of 23/24 fnatic.

#76
Yuniee44

A superteam is putting together some generational talent to create a titan of a team not doing something thats been done before but worse

#84
looola

Frags

That Fnatic superteam was just illegal on paper but I think this team comes close, Jamppi > Boaster as IGL imo and in this team u have 0 weak spots individually. Also think the roster makes much more sense on paper, mental wasnt always great in that Fnatic roster. For me it all depends on the level Sayonara plays at, we know Derke and Chronicle are two of the goats while Jamppi is on his way to becoming one of the goat IGLs, profek we know he is really good but not crazy so it all depends on Sayonara, if he plays like a tier S player like kaajak then its a roster with 3 superstars, one of the best IGLs in terms of leadership, calling and firepower and a player like profek who isnt a superstar but always delivers. If having 4 best player itw candidates in each role + a very strong player like profek doesnt count as a superteam then I think you are setting the bar too high

#66

Its kinda like the Falcons superteam in cs, they also have 2 star players, a highly anticipated rookie and 2 decently expirienced tier 1 players

#86

Frags

Yeah. Both teams have really good head coach, a young promising IGL, 2 GOATs, the two most highly anticipated rookies and a bitch player with strong mechanics that will fill the gaps like Teses/profek.
