macro is big idea, micro is smaller details. thats abt it. for example, a macro idea is walk up cat and a-split through tree, a micro idea in that same round is double swinging tree with a kayo flash

pro play vs casual play bring such a big difference in experience, such as many people hate playing breeze and fracture but lwk they are awesome maps in pro play.

imo riot should change the current map system so that in ranked there is no rotating map pool as it really doesnt affect ranked players, or add something like a map queue system and then have the map rotation system only in pro play because i believe the reason maps like breeze and fracture have been gone for so long is because of the ranked players.

wait nvm i thought it was worst chokers every year 🥀🥀

all geng need are a therapist or smth so they stop tilting and throwing games, especially for munchkin. like munchkin will legit get caught out one round then just giga-tilt and rage call the rest of the game and then they choke :/

just put 2025 as m8s and geng bruh they both deserve it lmao

in ranked its like 85% aim and 15% comp (as in like 5 duelists should always lose yk) but in pro play, the comps are more related to game plan, as in a team with a comp with a stong gameplan should be winning more than a team with a different or even the same comp but with a worse gameplan. obv aim still matters but at a pro level everyone can aim well so it isnt as important

nAts
Less
Alfajer
Meteor
leaf

i think that alfajer, and meteor are better than nats all time, but in terms of just sentinal, nats has to be the goat. leaf could go up this list very easy if he wins a trophy but without one the case is hard-ish to make

as people have already said, jp t2 is in a very good state and it leaves people comfortable just staying there and not moving up to t1. another possible problem tho could come from their culture, now i am not japanese but from what i understand of the culture there are big expectations from people to do well in school and get quote unquote real job. i could be wrong abt the second part tho but the first point is also a big part

posted 1 month ago

while i do believe that aspas should still be atleast top 5, i do agree that he is definitely not the goat anymore, at his peak he can play insane, but the current meta is not that great for his playstyle and agent pool

posted 1 month ago

acend should be 1 on the list bruh, they won a game after they lost it from a cypher cam that did shit all against them, and then ran through the playoffs in a bo1 bracket. even t1 were less fraudulent

Demon1; Duelist + Smokes
Jawgemo; Duelist + Smokes (g2 choke at champs and 2g places higher than them, they then bomb out of ascension losing jaw to eg)
C0m; Scan Init + Viper (he gets dropped from lev as lev field a full sa roster)
Ethan; Flash Init + Flex (nrg dissolves as as an organisation and americas loses a team)
Boostio; IGL, Senti + Flex (already benched by 100t 😭)

idk i lowkey think this team could win champs, what abt yall

ewc for saudi isnt about the money though because as you said, they have more than enough money. instead the ewc is a sportwashing campain to boost their own image, especially in the eyes of gamers who are typically younger people who dont know about saudis politics, and try sweep their atrocities under the rug. ontop of that, they boycotting aspect is more a call for riot than it is for saudi, asking them to stop giving into and endorsing the ewc,

these 2 videos from sideshow explain a lot of the political quelms people have with the tournament. other than that its because it isnt an official riot event, same thing happens with red bull homeground where people call it a mickeymouse event even tho it is still a wide range of good teams competing at a high level

posted 1 month ago

the saudi government have litterally slaughtered innocent people at their boarder trying to migrate and seek asylum from other countries. i know the world isn't great at the moment but this is a war crime

posted 1 month ago

i would say its similar to redbull homeground where yeah its super cool if u win it and definitley a good indicator of skill and such, but not as prestigious as a masters/champs just for the unnoficial feel/status of the event

it's one of fnatics best maps, if not their best, against prx's second worse map... classic vlr overreact

im posting this largely in response to srg against envy, but also srg in general as they are the only game changers team in a full t2 circuit as far as i believe, but why are they so much worse than other teams?

in traditional sports i understand why male and female competitions are split as males have a biological advantage just because of biology, it is what it is. however in esports i feel like there shouldnt be a real difference as those differences in biology largely wouldnt affect esports ability i would assume?

(also i feel like this should go without saying but i am making this thread in good faith and if u want to comment on it pls dont say anything sexist or transphobic because it somehow always seems to be brought up when gc is mentioned)

he for sure deserves it. he is in a very similar situation to haodong in edg and i would count him also because even if they weren't playing when the teams ran into their big successes, they were very instrumental in bringing the team to where they were at that point and they also did some coaching stuff as a good bridge between players and coaches.

in a vacuum its probably primmie or verno, however in a match setting its probably alfa

its called a dream for a reason buddy...

posted 2 months ago

both are great but the reason people rate leo so highly is more because of his game sense and util timings as opposed to his aim and fragging (not that he cant aim and stuff because he definitely can). alfa is also an insane player fs and i think it lwk underrated, but he also does overheat often-ish and he also doesnt seem to have the same mastery over some of the agents he plays like leo does.

posted 2 months ago

jinggg has been on an absolute heater this tournament and his raze looks legit unbeatable, but as much as i love jinggg and prx, jawgemo is able to play more than 1 agent (2 if you count pheonix lol) and so he is a better duelist overall

i think rrq would have done better than they did if they werent the first seed. in a tem a with a rookie and a some at their first t1 international event, the experience from the group stage would have been really good for them. also, it could have possibly allowed some of the players like jemkin, kushy, and monyet, 3 players who played incredibly during apac and contributed massively to their win there, to heat up more and give a better showing than what they did.

RRQ definitley werent the worst team at this event tho, ranking is probably rrq ≥ xlg > blg >> mibr imo. I hope this team can make it to more internationals and improve cause they look really promising

posted 2 months ago

nah fs he is. his raw aim ability is better used as a lurker where he can take fights and pick timings as a solo player and living for clutch as opposed to playing in the pack, not that he is a bad init player because he still is very good.

possibly dumber take is that nrg would have done far better at the start of this year if verno had been the full time senti player and fns had been the init player, they could have just used fade instead of sova cause fns has a pretty good fade

posted 2 months ago

yup... unfortunately, despite if the accusation is tru or not, people are gonna twist it into transphobia that only recently really went away.

for those who dont know the match: https://www.vlr.gg/473843/rex-regum-qeon-vs-paper-rex-champions-tour-2025-pacific-stage-1-lbf

this is just crazy tho, FOUR players played 5 different agents, and forsaken played across all 4 agent classes. im not sure abt random t2 and below games, but surely this has to be the most diverse series ever in terms of agents played across all maps right???

posted 3 months ago

rrq did look rlly good leading up to this point u cant deny that, admittedly they havent looked good since making toronto but that could either be that prx and geng are just better or it could also be that they arent 100% trying cause they already made the event, u cant really know. all that aside tho they looked really good during the season and the first half of playoffs and definitly deserve to be at toronto
