He’s closer to icy than to being top 5 but definitely still an above average player
his playstyle and role on the team is similar - he is primarily a space taker instead of a trade fragger like an aspas but he is definitely better than those 2 mechanically

In a world where Zekken, Jawgemo, Sato, OXY and Cryo didn't exist, then yes I'd agree with you, Mada would be the 2nd best duelist in his region.
Calling Mada the 2nd best duelist in Americas is bit much but isn't completely deluded I guess, but regardless that doesn't contradict my point that he still isn't close to being top 5 in the world. I can confidently say that if we are talking about being one of the best duelist itw Mada doesn't crack top 10.
Zekken is good, but in 2025 even when sen were better than nrg on an individual level mada was about as good as zekken, and at the end of the year mada completely took off
jawgemo is great but hella inconsistent, either hes clip farming or having a terrorist game no in between its a 50/50
sato is new on the scene, very small sample size and while very good yes, still not substantially better than mada
oxy is mechanically the best player on the scene but cmon he was on c9 other than that almost run to champs in stage 2 oxy wasnt allat
cryo isnt even a full duelist player, he just played yoru/jett and while I think he is overhated and actually a good player, he plays more of a flex role compared to madas entry duelist
No, he is too inconsistent and his ceiling is not very high, there are at least 10 duelists better than him in the world so he is very far from being a Top 5 player itw

the problem is that his "extremely high ceiling" is just randomly getting an ace in round 99 when he is already 3/14 after being useless all game
barely top 5 duelist in his region, let alone a bitw level player but when he locks in he plays tremendously well and he has great chemistry on NRG
He wasn't at his full potential in champs i think. He definitely has the potential to be top 5 in the world
