I will be very honest those who know the scene closely know very well that this is best possible matchups for RNT.
RNT relies on aim and they have 2 teams who are more strat heavy and not super huge aimers back to back so I would say this is their chance to start well.

I would love to trust all the praise for SPG but I will always stand by my line of thinking that Koreans left in T2 are overrated and SEA will win ascension.
Case in point is last year Damwon Kia who were similarly overhyped before crashing out of grp stage.
There is something that Korean teams lack bcz they are bit cutoff from rest of APAC and play amongst themselves

SPG looked much more dominant than DK (they were inconsistent all the time), but that Dplus team was inconsistent, beating BLD but losing to BONKERS. I still think the winner will be either SPG, DSG, or RID.
if you based on scrim then AE will win the whole thing on ascension, but they lose against boom..

he never faced DRX but he destroyed DWG and Old GenG and was MVP in both the matches 🥱
Fun fact guys SPG's MVP Persia has played in Indian T2 in past when he igled for Orangutan. Safe to say he didn't really had great time or any significant success in India back then so now a regenerated Persia would want to hv better time atleast against India

Not gonna lie, SPG looked terrible vs local competition, and so did RNT. Only advantage with SPG is the quality of scrims they have access to, given every team was in Korea a few days back, let alone every Pacific tier 1 team they have access to.
SPG won, but their executes, planning/timings, trap setups, etc looked off. Maybe too much of how good Geng and DRX plays made my expectations sky high. Also, pretty much every team in ascension has a similar record, everyone cooked during split 1 and played their A game in split 2.
tbf geng was the best team of 2024 and drx was 2nd in pacific split 2 so you're probably expecting too much lol

and imo they looked good while doing it. yeah revenant aren't the best team but SPG looked good. Icebox is SPG's permaban btw. they've never played icebox ever until now.
RNT's stats show their winrate on icebox was less than 50% even before they picked it. Yoru on icebox as main dualist, everyone knew it was a 2-0 when it started. SPG in my books still doesnt look as good as FS, BOOM or riddle.
