There's a gap but tbh even that gap is created artificially due to better structure, better coaching and basically everything that's supportive like training, practice etc etc is better in tier 1 than tier 2 which does create a gap but if you somehow equalise everything many tier 2 teams would go toe to toe with most tier 1 teams .

our domestic viewership record from the legendary days of GE VS VLT was broken by S8ul vs VLT in this era of Tier 2 Riot doesnt care about age or behaviour of audience just audience and an org which can hit 50k in regional Tier 2 final you can imagine what they will pull for VCT and if they actually do well and reach anywhere close to finals or international there will be absolute boom in valorant viewership in India and Riot and everyone kind of knows this . Its like Gentlemates kind of thing in EMEA basically Riot would rather have them in VCT if everything is in order and they have a chance to do so.

Until last year S8ul didnt have money they were content org and that was only reason they couldnt try for partnership but now with EWC partnership and new investors money that's gone now S8ul has 10s of lineups no moree just BGMI and they have the biggest viewerbase in India biggest streamers everything there's nothing that GE can offer better than S8ul other than past experience bcz one thing that GE does good content S8ul is better than them in even that. their classic is one of the lowest selling ones Indian fanbase and playerbase is huge but they dont spend money on GE Classic heck Sentinels and PRX sell more in India and infact them and fnatic have bigger fanbases than GE. They haven't been tapping fanbase well in recent times and with S8ul holding their team even through the off-season and co-owner getting invited to pacific finals should worry GE owner a lot.

Org ≠ Players. You think if RNTX was in franchise they will play with this 5 man ? At best they would have played with Azys, Rawfiul nd Venka nd even they would get replaced after a split if they didn't show up .
Rntx has crazy money owner was willing to give 500k usd if they had won ascension so you can imagine.
But I will be honest with S8ul securing EWC partnership nd more funding nd expanding to 10+ pc games holding their roster even in off season I think GE's fate is sealed Riot doesn't care what type of audience is engaged but an org which was able to get us 50k watching peak in tier 2 would easily make the cut into franchising over GE now

the more I see this ascension qualifier more I realise there's not much of a difference between S8ul,Rntx and Vlt at the moment all of them have their own strength and weakness.
VLT looks so drilled but they are very one dimensional
S8ul plays such fundamentally solid valorant but some of their players get out aimed
RNTX has insane shooters but their structure they are not drilled at all even with roles at the moment with their changes.
Its like anyone can win at LAN at the moment depending on who is feeling it and who keeps improving on mistakes

DM is a legend also LAN demon even at worst this will be better than Anti's firepower idk if DM will igl tbh I think a lot more PRX style is about to take place.
