If you have any questions about Japan, please feel free to ask.
I am not a scientist so I can't give you a perfect answer, but the water coming out of Fukushima has already been treated so there is no problem.
Whats a food that everybody loves there
What do you think about india
What do you think about bottsi 🗿
1.As you probably guessed, most Japanese love sushi.
3.He is the best Indian player
Are there any other than sushi?
Have u tried indian cuisine? whats ur favourite food from it?
Is indian/foreign cuisine spread in japan?
Do you have any links to videos, etc.? I am not quite sure what you are talking about.
I don't know much about rental girlfriends, but if you can't get a girlfriend for a long time, you might want to try it. The system is quite simple: you choose a woman from a rental girlfriend site and pay her to be your girlfriend for a certain amount of time.
this is actually sad no disrespect
wont it just make you feel worse after having a fake girlfriend
it's really the same thing as OF right?
sad for the losers who actually pay for it
good for the girl who gets paid the bag
I think you are streching it a bit too far, why not think about like a glorified tourist guide who'll show you around and is also your date
in what way am i stretching it too far?
do you disagree that the guys who buy it are losers?
It's not like Japan is in a financial crisis. There's no need for the food to be expensive.
(Sorry I'm not QIQ)
Simply put, food is cheap in Japan because incomes are low. The average income in Japan is $31,000.
Is Japan really that expensive compared to other asian countries?
If so can you give an estimate of living expenses for a single person
In Japan, the amount of money you need varies greatly between the city and the countryside, but if you want to live in the city, you can live on $1000~1400. You can do it very cheaply in the country.
How come Japan is so cheap as a large industrialized country? I imagine a huge city like Tokyo must be more expensive, no?
What are the average incomes?
Also I've read that in cities the rent prices varies based on how far you are living from the railway station. I guess that's fair when the biggest mode of transportation there is trains
I went to the ive concert the other night and personally love new jeans
Maybe ive is the most popular among them? It's hard to tell xD
Japanese male idol groups are still popular, but Japanese female idol groups are not as popular as they used to be. To summarize, the popularity in Japan is as follows
JP male idol>=KR male&female idol>JP female idol
im surprised to hear jp male idol is very popular, i guess i never hear about it because im a straight male. who are the most popular group there apart from johnny's
You are right, Johnny's is the most popular. There are many groups in Johnny's like snow man, SixTONES and so on
is valorant more of a spectator sport for japan or are there just not a lot of japanese players that grinds the game?
how do you feel about the valorant scene in japan?
In Japan, there was no custom of playing games on PC. This is because of the popularity of Nintendo and PS. Then, when fortnite became popular, the number of people playing games on PC gradually increased. So it is not surprising that it is considered a spectator sport.
Also, I would like to talk about education in Japan. Because of the above, the profession of professional gamer has not penetrated the Japanese market. Therefore, it is difficult for Japan to develop esports to the level of Korea and China.
So Japanese teams can only rely on foreign players. However, there are several academy teams in Japan, so we may be able to expect more in a few years.
Whats something you recommend doing in Tokyo that a turist wont find on like...tripadvisor? (preferably suitable for kids! )
Depending on the age of your children, the Tokyo Sky Tree is quite interesting, and Tokyo Dome City Attractions is also recommended.
are working conditions and the overwork culture getting better in Japan?
At least my father has an easy job. But a certain number of people get depressed at work, so it's an improvement over the past, but it still remains.
I don't know if it is for overseas visitors (it may be in Japanese only), but there is a tour for about 5$. However, advance reservation is required for this tour.

personal question
The biased zeta fan wants a full Japanese roster, but the normal people want them to win, so they don't care about nationality.
I think hiroron is a good fit for zeta, but I honestly can't predict their moves at all (no leaks at all).
Apparently SK and Japan are xenophobic. I've seen multiple articles where they tell how they were secluded in public places and could not fit in the local culture and people talking on it on reddit. How true is that?
I don't know about SK, but try to come to Narita or Haneda airport in Japan and talk to young Japanese people or people working there. Your suspicions will soon be confirmed and you will find that Japanese people welcome foreigners with open arms.
But old people should stop, for they often ignore even us Japanese and cut off communication with others.
are there are lot of ghost villages/towns in the countryside cause most of the population in japan lives in cities?
It's a common practice in Japan that living in cities is expensive, so the countryside is used as bedroom communities.
What do Japanese people like to do in their free time? Where do they go to hang out? What do they do?
Many people play games.
Most people go to various places in Tokyo.
They buy clothes, go to amusement parks, and do other things depending on their preferences.
I recommend anime. Talking to Japanese people in Japanese is the most effective way.
i do watch alot of anime lol but with subs
i have tried watching it w/o but then i only understand 30% of what they are saying
anyways should i go with some grade textbooks for practice?
Japanese, like English, is very different from written and spoken language. Therefore, if you want to be able to use Japanese in your daily life, it is faster to watch youtube videos that teach Japanese than to buy teaching materials. Also, as I mentioned earlier, speaking with Japanese people is the best way to improve your Japanese.
this site has a lot of resources for you https://djtguide.neocities.org/guide
you can start by learning kanas here https://djtguide.neocities.org/kana/
I have checked her career and found that she has not been seen in the entertainment industry since she retired about three years ago, and there is currently a lot of speculation, but there is no confirmed information.
how popular are bands like One ok Rock, Asian KungFu Generation and Radwimps compared to other worldwide mainstream bands?
Is doraemon still popular in japan? Also how is the penetration of japanese cartoons like doraemon and pokemon in the general market?
Doraemon is popular as an anime now, and is watched by children from 5 to 10 years old. Pokemon is popular as both an animation and a game. Pokemon games are played by people of all ages.
and also, is it viable for a 2nd year undergrad to shift to jp and continue studies there? im studying business and from what ive heard the business courses are usually in english (my 2nd language is english) but i dont know the reliability of the information. and how does it look cost-wise and can i save money after paying all my bills if i work part-time?
Are you saying that you want to study at a Japanese university to study business?
I don't understand better how it works, but why don't you apply for a study abroad project at a Japanese university in your country?
Why does my Japanese roommate keep laughing when I'm talking about an engagement ring in Indonesian?
are you into motorsports? if yes, are you watching the japanese grand prix? are you watching super gt and super formula too?
What areas of Japan are worth visiting? I don't know many nice places to go to even though I know it has a lot of amazing things to see.
Also how common are hot springs in Japan??
The place I recommend is Tokyo. You can do all of Japan here. There are almost certainly hot springs in the Japanese countryside.
Has Japan alot of placas that people arent allowed to enter because they have tatto ? Like beaches and gyms
I don't like fish that much and can't eat too much pasta, are there other options in JP to eat? I ask this cause I imagine that there might be Japanese people who are intolerant and there is a lot of pasta (ramen and stuff there), how does one survive?
Do you know 日常(nitizyo)? I think it is a prime example of SLICE OF LIFE in my opinion. If this analogy is true I feel I am using SLICE OF LIFE.
This might be a bitter question, but is it true that Japanese people are racist and xenophobic towards people of colour? Of course it varies from place to place, but yeah, just curious
There are a certain number of strange people, but I think it is the same in other countries as well. Also, Japan is a yellow race.
Do you know of any "lazier" food/snack to make when you dont feel like cooking something proper thats popular in japan (or that you like but could be less common for foreigners). Thanks
In Japan we have something called temakizusi (hand-rolled sushi). It is like a California roll, but we roll the ingredients with nori (seaweed). It is very easy to make.
How popular is vtuber culture in Japan? Like compared to kpop idol or something like that
In the past, otaku were not considered well in Japan. vtuber fans are very numerous, but they are treated in the same way as the old Japanese otaku. Because excessive vtuber otaku are blind.
what do u think about Roland the host? and can u also explain how he became so popular in japan despite having no true japanese roots
Huh? He is not Japanese? He is a truly amazing businessman who is very good at branding himself.
How did the japanese fans react to zeta potentially dropping all their players? does DFM valorant have a lot of fans over there or are they being clowned?
Japanese fans were very surprised about the dismissal because they thought only ten and crow would be released.
DFM🤡 Obviously
But seoldam is different. He was a streamer in CR for a while and gained quite a few fans during that time. So seoldam fans outnumber DFM fans.
A bit late but what are your thoughts on Japanse professional gaming scene right now, across all games?
(and also pls give me the address of some of the best restaurants in Japan i am planning to visit Okinawa and Sapporo the next January, might as well linger longer)
As for the games in general, fortnite and apex were very good. Not only the results, but also the player base seemed to be very strong. I am speculating, but maybe Japanese people are better suited for battle royale games.
About the games. Nintendo games are very popular in Japan. I also love Pokemon.
As for restaurant recommendations, I recommend this one in Hokkaido, although it is expensive. https://hanakoji-sawada.com/
I have never been to Okinawa so I don't know. Sorry.
hey at least you replied with something really genuine, thanks
i asked some of my Japanese friends and all they say is KFC (for the purpose of Christmas but it is not like imma go there anyway)
Indeed, when Japanese people have a Christmas party at home, KFC is almost always on the table lol
what's the pet culture like in japan? are they allowed in a lot of places/establishments? what are the most popular pets there?
I have never received so many questions in one day. I'm glad I got so many questions.
Are fighting games popular with the younger generation of Japan? I know fighting games were huge when arcades were very popular, but with arcades losing popularity and more PC gaming happening in Japan I was curious if younger people still care about games like street fighter or guilty gear.
I don't know what the public opinion is, but at least none of my friends (teenagers) play fighting games.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean, so may I ask you to provide an example to illustrate your point?
To be honest, I had never heard of this issue until I saw this video. I don't think it has spread to a social problem in Japan just because there is somewhat such a problem.
Well the second reason in the video is bitter sweet I think. I'm not Japanese so I don't know if it's more prevalent in Japan than anywhere else, but kids who reach fame at a very young age can have a lot of problems later in life. Some Disney Channel actors for example
Are there a large number of Brazilians in Japan? I'm asking this because Brazil is the country with the most Japanese people outside of Japan, so I wanted to know if the opposite also happens. Here in São Paulo we even have an entire Japanese city (liberdade)
100%日本人ですが、アメリカに育ってきたんです。実は、日本語のレベルは低くて、グーグルの力を使っています。漢字あまり読めないけど、会話ぐらいできる。高校生活はどう?
High school life is very good. Did you go to school in the US and where do you live now?
I’m a high school senior right now and still live in the US. I think I might want to live in Japan someday, but honestly I’m not quite sure. I go to Japan every year to see my grandparents, though. I always have a blast. Have you been to the US before?
No, I haven't. My great-grandmother is of European descent and I have never actually been abroad. I wanted to study abroad in the U.S. during this summer vacation, but I was too busy studying for the entrance exam and didn't have time to do so.
Is anime real
jk
Is anime really that mainstream, that everyone has to love it because of peer pressure? talking about local Japanese youth
I’ve been learning a bit of Japanese the past year. I know many words and sentences (numbers, times, asking for something, directions, etc.) But Kanji has been a pain in the ass because each kanji can have a different meaning or the word itself can have different kanji. So as a native Japanese, do you still struggle with kanji or is it a basic thing to get down in childhood?
Ideally, would you like to see Koreans or other imports on the ZETA roster? I personally wouldn’t.
I learned all the kanji that I use in my daily life in my childhood. However, we still study Kanji because we learn difficult Kanji that we do not use in Japan. The reason why we study kanji is because they are used in entrance exams for high school and university.
I don't think it is necessary to have only Japanese roster because now we are not playing games in JP region as in the past but as PACIFIC. But realistically, it is a very difficult decision because Japanese people's English skills are so low that if we make a multinational roster, they may not be able to communicate well with each other.
If we're talking only about games... Youtube and Twitch are the two biggest
Youtube is more popular for chatting and stuff.
been learning japanese along with german and irish over the past year, just wanted to ask how st patricks day been over there? Seen some stories that it has been growing in popularity within certain areas of Tokyo but not too sure on if it is just a small thing
I have not heard much about it. But it seems that Yokohama city in Kanagawa prefecture (next to tokyo) had that event. That culture doesn't seem to have taken root much.
I'm living rn in Japan bc of studies and it's so nice, I hate the recycling thing but it's fine I guess
What is up with japan’s obsession with school girls? and how bad is sexism in Japan?
Voyeurism on trains has become a social problem in Japan. Recently, efforts have been made to improve the situation, such as the installation of security cameras on trains and the creation of women-only cars.
I hope to see that kind of crap eliminated as soon as possible.
do you or any of your friends want to queue tokyo servers with me? im so close to getting my account to level 20
Why has your culture become so overly feminine over the last century? This has happened in the west aswell, but not to the same extend and your culture always have been based on very masculine values. Discipline, fighting, honor... Japanese people used to be the most badass people in the world.
I am honestly just curious lol, what happened there?
They lost the war. Before, they were pillaging and raping east Asia and after the nukes and their surrender, Douglas McArthur supervised their new "Peace constitution".
What do you think about the Japanese part in Brazil, we have 1 Million Japanese outside of your country here, did you guys know this or ever talked about this before?
Or is just something unknow whatsoever?
