wippie made his mark on Version1 Version1 Inactive in 2021, having been an integral part of their run to Masters: Reykjavik. After a year, G2 Esports G2 Esports Inactive picked him up as part of their transition to North America. G2 made a solid run in Split 1 after coming in third place but started to cool down in Split 2, missing out on Ascension following their top-six finish. G2 later disbanded, but remnants such as wippie, Francis "OXY" Hoang, and coach Ian "Immi" Harding became a part of Cloud9's 2024 roster.

Cloud9's tumultuous start to 2023 resulted in making early roster changes. Despite substantial success, the changes were insufficient to qualify for international tournaments. Following Champions, Cloud9 parted ways with most of their players, only keeping Erick "Xeppaa" Bach and Jake "jakee" Anderson while signing the G2 core and re-signing Anthony "vanity" Malaspina. Their offseason debuts saw them finish first in TEN Global Invitational, second in Redbull Homeground #4, and third in Superdome Columbia and LXT Invitational. Cloud9 were slotted in Group A, winning their opener against MiBR. However, NRG Esports NRG Esports North America Rank #3 crashies Austin Roberts Victor Victor Wong Marved Jimmy Nguyen Ethan Ethan Arnold Demon1 Max Mazanov sent C9 to the lower bracket, and MiBR sent them out by winning the rematch in eliminations.

Cloud9 are set to return to competition in April for Split 1 of the Americas League.
