Firefox is a lot better. If you are unfussy, you can just use Chrome or MS Edge since it's basically the go-to or baked into Windows systems. Themaniel wants a better alternative - Firefox is pretty much the best option.
Honestly a shame how bad Opera GX is reputation-wise given some of the features are actually quite nice. Workspaces is pretty nice to keep different things separate beyond island tabs.
as a microsoft edge user, do not use microsoft edge. it might be the worst thing I have installed on my computer, and i'm saying that with overwatch 2 installed.
damn bru idk what goin on with yo system but for me it works 😂 however brave clears
what i find extremely annoying about edge is that if i press Ctrl + Tab it takes me to the next page and not to the page i previously was on.
it takes up so much memory it's actually insane.
So does every other browser. Google chrome is known for eating up a huge chunk of RAM
bing is a cancer upon this society, and even if i change my default to google, it still sometimes takes me to bing
You problem. This shit doesnt happen to anyone else
it still doesn't even work, even when everything else on my computer works, for some reason, just returns an "oops... your network connectivity sucks dick" or some bullshit.
You problem once again. It doesnt happen to anyone else
the extensions on it are so much worse than every other browser. a third of them are viruses, a third of them don't work, and a third of them are just the same thing on another browser
At least it allows ublock origin. Google chrome literally doesnt let you install it
microsoft family safety randomly pops up on my search engine sometimes even though i have it disabled. it just says "sorry! you can't access that you baby." and i don't know why. it only shows up randomly every once in a while, and i still can't figure it out.
No clue what this means.
I don't understand his extension problem. Edge has a dedicated extension store but it also support chrome store as well
I've been using it for a long time now. I don't see any issues. What are you doing with yours bro
i like microsoft edge theres rly no reason its worse than anything else people are js kinda biased against it
Yeah it's decent comparatively and way better than what internet explorer was. Unwarranted hate icl.
saying edge is better than explorer is like saying nrg are better than apeks or 2025 furia
i’ve always been a big fan of chrome
I also use Pale Moon on my other setup
I use chrome on my desktop with extensions coz I like the chrome UI.
On my phone it's always brave.
PC: for MacOS go for Arc, for Win go for Zen
I use edge though
Mobile: Vivaldi is best
It's alot better on mobile. It has speed dials on mobile which got me hooked and has inbuilt ad blocker as well.
For PC i think there are alot better browsers and edge/firefox are alot better optimized that others
The biggest selling point for me for vivaldi was being able to make an account for the browser itself. I have a ton of things i need bookmarked for school and work, and last year I had to do a complete fresh install of windows again. Saved me at least an hour of my time, if not more
i use gx and honestly it just feels nice to use, idk abt any extra features but it just works and it works well
idk if this is a feature on other browsers but it wasnt on chrome when i used it, it saves the tabs you had open before you closed the browser so they reopen when you open the browser again
i just like the aesthetic tbh but a lot of ppl are concerned about the privacy and they say the gaming gimmick isn’t lived up to it but it’s just. smooth browser and it has little nice features rather that most browsers don’t have like typing sounds etc
I've tried alot of browsers with gimmicks and all but at the end of the day I just stick to edge mostly bcoz is very well optimized
anything but google chrome bro
boycott big tech that steals all of your data
firefox and brave are good, both have built in anti-cookies and brave even has a built in ad-blocker
I remember someone on reddit asking how can I fill my ram and someone suggested opening chrome
I just use Chrome. I don't like that its owned by Google and is so shit for privacy etc but IMO it has the best UI and just works. Also people talk about big RAM usage but I tried Firefox for while and that ate my RAM like crazy. Firefox is likely the best overall if you are ready to lose some Chromium extensions, that is biggest downside of Firefox IMO.
Brave is option as well but I just don't like the UI. But overall I would choose out of Chrome, Firefox and Brave and think that others are not worth it.
ive tried a couple of the ones you all reccomended and ive ended up settling on vivaldi
thank you for the reccomendations
