Also kaajak, it pains me when I see people actually talk like he’s better than Derke
Performance wise it was similar to an average year for Derke. The reason kaajak was in BITW talks was entirely because other players who played better at several points in the year like aspas, forsaken, alfajer, and trent all had points where they played really badly. So it was just a matter of consistency.
I can confidently say there wasn’t one point in the year where kaajak was the best player itw
derke is a good player dont get me wrong but kaajak is just so mechanically good that he can just snowball the game himself if he gets going
kaajak is probably the undisputed best player in pistol rounds, which are arguably the most important rounds to win because they build momentum and usually result in next round conversion
I can agree that kaajak is the best pistol player, but derke is the best entry and that’s more impactful over the course of an entire map.
Ngl id be more inclined to say kaajak if fnatic’s pistol winrate was actually really good, but it isn’t
derke is not even close to the best entry, his FK FD rates on attack aren't good or consistent at all, and I think kaajak probably clears him in that department
he is for sure a consistent player, but he also has a lower ceiling performance wise imo
kaajak's only major period of inconsistency was at the start of the year as he was adjusting
he has performed very well in big games this year
FNC pistol winrate is a team issue not a kaajak issue
he's miles ahead of derke mechanically, and has taken over games for fnatic purely by just outaiming everyone
sure he choked 2/3 grand finals this year but he's a rookie and he popped tf off in champs
His better mechanics don’t actually convert to fragging any better than Derke
