I feel like Valorant competitive fans are way too caught up in the moment and whatever just happened in the last tourney or the past month. Which is fair, honestly, it’s the same in every sport.
My kinda unpopular opinion is that zekken isn’t just a top 5 duelist, but maybe the best player in the world overall. He’s just not performing like it right now, since there are so many variables to that, but when things click he can prove it.
But like... even LeBron had off games in his prime. People used to question him too. If you look at people’s top 5s in like 2010 or 2011, a bunch didn’t even have him as #1 – some not even top 3. And now that looks insane, because we all know he was the best back then.
The thing is, when we talk about who's “the best,” we should be looking at everything a player brings to a team, not just their most recent matches or stats.
And honestly, pros usually see things super differently than fans do, and I think it's because they’ve got the full picture.

idk about zekken being #1 but I agree with the way you look at it. Players like Leaf, Nats, Aspas and Derke have looked incredible for the longest time. Then there's also young players like Woot, Riens, Cortezia, Lukxo who have looked insane but we've got to wait and see if they can hold this form for a long time.

Deadlock is trash above Bronze
EXL should be a partner team instead of LEV or Furia
Postplant meta was OP since beta, proplayer just put too many time to figure out e because they are here for the aim, not to play as pussy (And you dont grind playing like that)
Doble smoker will be meta on almost everymap, the day proplayer will understand how to midround
Reducing the game from 24 round to 16 would be good
Asia and Pacific are bound to split (especially if the number of partner team is reduce)
Tier 2 should be restructured to synchronise with scrimming pool, Tier 3 should be created corresponding to language and scriumpool but being only amatory league, and we should have Tier 4 with national league like in Polaris (Denmark, GB etc...)
