I personally believe that manga is better (especially if you compare the best manga to the best manwha), but recently I feel like people have been liking manwha more. What do yall think?

Really? I could never find a story that impacted me as much as Goodnight Pun Pun or a Silent voice whenever I read manwha. Bastard and sweet home are great stories but even they weren't nearly as good to me.
A lot of hyped manwha like solo leveling, god of highschool, and tower of god had a story that I didn't enjoy at all.
i mean true, a lot of the manhwas are either in that villainess/shoujo category or that action/constant fights/shonen category and u dont see many stories that are as impactful as smth like pun pun or monster or whatever, it all just comes down to preference and im a degen for revenge/villain mc stories soo
i mean some of my favorites are omniscient readers' viewpoint and regressor instruction manual considering they are fleshed out stories and are incredibly and i know a lot of people would not like those stories for some of the same reasons why i like those stories and thats ok
IM DOING GOOD MYSELF SOMEONE IS ANNOYING ME BY NOT FINISHING THEIR SCHOOL WORK(COUGH COUGH JINXYPOO) BUT BESIDES THAT NO PROBLEMS :D
HE IS BUT HE RANDOMLY MESSAGES ME SOMETIMES AND ITS REALLY HARD NOT TO RESPOND
yeah i predded tec but im glad JDG look good
the longer this year goes on the more i want bleed to add yoman and rb next year and have a competent roster
the only eeveelutions that are better than espeon would be a dragon and a ghost eeveelution
lookism , ranchat( girl from random chatting) , The beginning after the end, ORV , and many moree
I personally love Manhwa but it's more of a McDonald's burger than a loving meal made by your mother. For every 1 good manhwa there are 10 good manga. It will take 20 years more for manhwa to catch up to Manga.
For now manga better, but I believe in a couple of years there will be a lot of good manhwa because they're more stable, had a huge illustration team and most of manhwa just novel adaptation
manhwa will be better in a few years, manga has had longer.
solo leveling art gaps everything tho (for me)
Most manhwas are so random. Like the MC is on his way to do something then suddenly encountered a girl then the story takes a different turn. Most of them don't have this "arc" thingy. Authors just write what comes to their mind.
Recently, I’ve been loving manhwa, but I’d still say manga is the best. So far, no manhwa can top manga like Kingdom, Blame!, Oyasumi Punpun, Vinland Saga, GTO, or Climber. Maybe it's because I like the dark genre, idk...
manhwa is better, the japanese don't know how to fucking end a story without ruining everything like i read more than 100 mangas and i dont remember a single one that have a good ending, they always fumble in the end.
Goodnight Pun Pun, Your lie in april ending, relife, Fma, slam dunk, gto, jojo sbr, are just some of the mangas that have great endings. There's lots out there bro.
bro these ones i watched the anime not the manga, but i aint gonna lie i dont remember a manhwa with a bad ending because 99% of the manhwas get dropped or doesnt even end at all so i dont think is a manga problem i think its the genre problem.
but like One punch man manga is goated the best Art by far i have ever seen.
Good taste opm manga art is really good. One of the best looking mangas I've ever seen.
quality wise, manga
quantity wise, manhwa
both are great, just pick your poison.
I completely agree. There are some people that say that manwha has better art, but for some reason I just can't see it. Maybe I'm tripping.
When I look at the face of some of the best art in manga I see details that I didn't even know where possible to draw, yet when I look at some manwha, it just feels too smooth idk how to describe it. Of course there are exceptions though.
colored =/= better art. it's just colorful.
no way in hell you can say that solo leveling art is better than what the heck one punch man is
Yeah that's what it is. Nothing in manwha has nearly as much detail as beserk or opm art. I guess it just caters to a different audience some people just don't like the black and white and I get it. For me the details in the art are far more important but to others color might matter more.
media also kinda works differently. it is harder to make 15-30 pages of manga biweekly than 60-80 panels of manhwa weekly.
Yeah didn't think about that. I guess that kind of goes back to your quality vs quantity point.
Her summon seems pretty detailed to me, even though the story is kinda mid. I just read it for the art style ngl😆
I should've mentioned that. The art in that manwha is so fucking good. I don't think there's a manwha with better art. I agree with u on the story part though lol.
anyone that thinks manwha is better is a giga casual
there are a few exceptional standouts but in general manhwa is turbo slop
I wouldn't say turbo slop, but it there is a lot of repetitive themes and copy and pasted stories. Kind of like isekai I just end up skipping them lol
yes except isekai makes up a much smaller fraction of manga than its asian counterparts in like regression or cultivation slop
all bad tho
both good but manga usually has better stories, you'll have to dig deep to find decent manhwa stories, most of the time its just romance in different settings with the same plot
I agree. You read bastard or sweet home? The story in those manwhas is good.
Thriller:
An uncomfortable truth (Highly Recommended)
Romance:
Marry Me! (Wholesome)
Devil Number 4
Pixel of Life
Seasons of Blossom (really liked it)
Something about us
Black Winter (Highly Recommended)
Boxing:
The Boxer
Green Boy
Historical:
Light And Shadow ( It has an SA scene in the beginning but bear with it, the story was really good )
Golden Time
Ellin's Solhwa
Drama:
Cheese in the trap (long but has the best FL)
Whale Star (Highly Recommended)
Winter Woods (Highly Recommended)
Action:
Shotgun Boy (Prequel of Sweet Home)
Still have some more but can't remember rn
thank you very much, i'm thinking of reading the boxer first out of your suggestions because i heard from a few friends that it's really good and that it's a pretty unique boxing story
Manhwa easy to read and got color in it
Manga on the other hand is hard to read and rarely has coloured chapters
Story wise manhwa is very very far , Hands down Manga on top but there are few GOATED manhwa.
At the end it is totally on a person's personal taste and preference
my top 1 manhwa not even gonna reach my top 20 manga , manga clears also kingdom clears all of manhwa holy
Nhentai vs Pornwha
The Strongest Sorcerer In History Vs. The Strongest Sorcerer of Today
Manga generally better, Manhwa when I turn my brain off and read the same content over and over.
For me there are less standouts in manhwa compared to manga but there are some top notch manhwas like greatest estate developer
Speaking of Manga and manhwas, can someone explain to me why old webtoons like orange marmalade are being compiled to just 7 or less chapters?
90 percent of manga isn't shonen, been reading for a while and I feel like new interesting stories pop up every day
I get the color part though, some people love that and it makes sense.
both are meh because both mediums are dominated by oversaturated genres and slop like the modern comic industry, it's just that those are pandered to the common weeb instead of superhero nerds. though I would say I like manhwa more because I feel like it's still more prone to writers & artists experimenting with their storytelling compared to manga
depends on the mood!
they both have very repetitive tropes (generally manhwa being slightly more repetitive while manga being cliche)
but I genuinely enjoy passing time with them
manwha but oh my god if I have to read one more I regressed to the past with a system and reincarnated as the demon lord stuck in a hunters body with the hidden necromancer class im going to fucking lose it
