and boostio was arguably best igl and was shooting back relatively well, demon1 was demon1, jawgemo was frying and went nuclear in the gf, and c0m was insanely clutch and one of the best sova. Saying ethan was a little less impactful than those 4 is no knock on him at all.

While i do not think ethan got carried in the slightest, I do think there an argument can be made that he was the least impactful on the team during the champs run. Not because he wasn't great or anything, but because the other 4 players were absolutely insane. It's between him or c0m, but champs c0m had the best sova utility i've ever seen in valorant so I'm leaning towards ethan being the "worst". Overall though yeah he was like 2nd or 3rd best on 2023 eg.

DRG had an emergency sub replacing their best player. You really cannot fault them at all.

EDG lost against NRG and TL in a very close fashion as the 3rd seed

DRG had an emergency sub and had the closest series so far against T1 in the entire tournament (they had a real chance of making playoffs with co0kashu)

XLG beat Sen and lost to PRX and GX (GX series was close too) as the 4th seed

BLG was the 1st seed and got stomped by MIBR, but took it to 3 maps against RRQ (still a very underwhelming performance)

This has been China's first bad tournament in a long while. Not to mention that they are still the youngest region by far. China is getting way too much hate.

Honestly BLG was the only chinese team that dissapointed hella. XLG and EDG made it close while DRG had to play with a sub and still made it extremely close against T1.

honestly their corrode looked good too. If nobody didn't push mid by himself very likely it goes to OT and who knows what happens then.

Cause how do you lose that many man advantages on Abyss. Corrode obv wasn't as bad, but mistakes like Nobody solo pushing mid at match point cost them the game. It felt like EDG had the better mechanics/strats when the number of players was even and then proceeded to just throw whenever they got in a position that was advantageous. I hope they bounce back in the next games cause they do have potential to make a deep run if they lock in.

in these maps you have to use the odin because that's genuinely how broken it is in Corrode and Lotus

I'm completely fine with the Odin on maps that aren't Corrode and Lotus. But when the walls of the map are paper thin, the odin does significantly lower the skill ceiling of this game and make the game also incredibly boring to watch. Nerf its penetration, its cost, its ammo, idc. I'm tired of people calling others noobs when others say they want the odin to be nerfed. On maps like Corrode and Lotus it's overly oppressive and that's a fact.

Yes, his fragging looks better, but to be honest that's never been the main value he provides to his team. His calling, vibes, util, and general impact have stayed consistent and are also why I think Zellsis was the one who used to get most underserved amount of hate. However, right now I'd say it's easily net.
