LIGA Ace, the tournament organizer, released a statement at 8:40 p.m. EDT clarifying that, after discussions with both teams, the technical team had been granted “a little longer” to resolve the issue before any other decisions were made.

The best-of-five match kicked off at around 3:08 p.m. as SRB and 2G met after a day of Round Robin play. While 2G's first pick of Ascent was completed in full in a 13-10 victory for the Brazilian representative, technical issues stalled the commencement of the second map of play, Split.

After nearly 90 minutes of delay, the teams began map two. However, disaster struck again in round 12 when players and production alike experienced major lag spikes that assisted SRB in converting a 2-man deficit into a round win.

An additional 52 minutes went by before the second half of Split resumed. However, one round passed before the lag spikes returned in round 14 and viewers were sent back to another 52 minutes of technical pause before the broadcast streams went offline.

After 92 minutes of downtime, the broadcast streams were booted up once again at 10:06 p.m. and the second half of Split resumed 22 minutes later.
