How high rank should you be before forming an argument about competitive Val?
How high rank should you be before forming an argument about competitive Val?
Radiant because some of the takes i see are just actual trash and have absolutely no idea what there talking about like at all
rank and pro play are significantly different thus there is no need to correlate between the two
yea and most low-rank might didnt know the magnitude or depth of certain plays
deadass u have to be atleast high immo3 cause most people below that js dont understand the game to a good enough level
isnt there like vct pacific content about most coaches agreeing on you need to be atleast immo to actually coaching?
nothing weird, these pros sometimes too busy to play on active season.
thats why you rarely see T1 players on leaderboard.
u cant really say it like that since these coaches have experience in previous games or js dont play the game anymore and used to be higher ranked
fair point
but id still say u can be smart at analyzing val without being good at it
i think for u to be able to form ur own opinions on pro play u need to be higher ranked with an understanding of coordinated play, i feel like most people who are not high ranked js repeat what they hear and dont actually have any of their own takes
fair point
as a silver i can confirm im somewhat guilty of just parroting tmv
ive tried to form my own takes tho
(i dont play much val like <20 games an act at best)
not really bro especially with the state of ranked, especially if you’re just analyzing games. sure not every silver or whatever can analyze the game well but saying there’s some rank requirement to understand the game when there’s a bunch of other resources out there to do just that + bringing nuance from other games is silly
i feel like immo+ is where you should be if you want to really dissect micro decisions, and even then it’s a minefield if people actually know what they’re talking about
that's too harsh I had an ex GC champs winner on my team some days ago and she was asc 3, she was queuing with FLC mary (immo 1)
Why is bro ragebaiting yeah mary was playing with a ex champs winner who quit the game for like three years mary is usually constantly immortal 3 or radiant with like a 700 or 800 peak or something I don't know why bro brought this up it isn't even a good look for you if your in the same elo of someone who quit the game for three years and hasn't touched it
No not really, bacon the liquid coach from 2024 according to sliggy never went to the higher ranks and purely learned through being with other coaches
Delighted was dropping 2 kills in iron 2 while having actual takes about vct
uhhh
im silver
i think its way more relevant how much vct analysis u watch tho
like an immo1 reyna otp who just runs it down isnt a vct expert
if some users here can drop 0 kills in an iron lobby (I'm sure if I put my gf in an iron lobby she'll do better) I don't think they should have an opinion on anything regarding pro valorant whatsoever, your knowledge about the game has to be pretty damn close to 0
yea thats probably true, but in my opinion it only matters if ur immo+, anything below that is the same shit just more hours played
yea because for 99% of hardstuck people its either mental or not playing enough
high dia+ is the soft barrier that basically shows you just mastered the fundamentals imo
you should need at least like 70% KAST or something
better gauge of gamesense even if you have shit aim or something
It doesnt matter, my ability to tap a head doesnt mean that I cant see when a strat or comp is dumb or shit
this is true. seen too many ppl flame pro players mechanics.
when they themselves are like gold 2 lvl 600
When the question is how high, you normally don’t respond with true, but instead with a number or value. Besides, yes i may not have hit that shot, but that isnt my job. Thats like saying i cant say a football player played shit or did a stupid pass just bc i play it for fun and am not as good.
exactly lmao and there are also alot of thing people never discuss on why certain players are still considered as great even though got 0 trophies and hyper-focusing on end-product or result.
Something can be appreciated only if you ACTUALLY playing the game.
some people believe you have to be high elo to really understand and analyse a game, i think sean gares said he specifically wanted his team's coach to have hit radiant before
i think it's okay for diamond+ people to be active in the strategic/analytic department
if you're a metal rank (iron~plat) you probably don't really understand the game well enough.
Yeah I agree, I think it’s not mechs wise tho, mostly just to get a feel for how games play out and how high level players use util for example Rather then just the fact he can tap heads
not necessarily a rank, you just need to be able to understand what the correct play is and why, and what makes a good player. you can have terrible aim, movement etc for loads of reasons that aren't a lack of understanding
I really dont even believe you have to even play the game regularly to understand it and analyze it. However being high rank would help some with like innovating comps and strats and stuff
getting out of low ranks is more about mechanics than anything else so I don't think it matters but it is kinda embarrassing
Everyone gets the right to have an opinion… but anyone below like ascendant just doesn’t have a high understanding of the game
If you played atleast 2000hrs - 3000hrs and watched pro play for atleast 2000hrs i think are atleast debatable.
What if I play COD and No counter strike for 10 years and then I started valorant obviously I am too old for this shit to even go to radiant and immo lobbies cause its all kids and low mental players.
Its too hard to make an argument but you understand the game but cant do shit if you cant shoot back against these aimlab kids??
Just cause your rank is diamond/plat doesnt mean you understand the game less
its just you have less time to grind and have less time to baby sit these kids in ranked...
id say like atleast plat 3 or diamond 1, u need to have at least a basic understanding of the game imo
