In response to what Bren said, he is wrong. It's so bad. There are 2 duos that are good: Bren/Sideshow and Hypoc/Pansy. First has good insight and okay hype. Imo they are the best, because when I listen to them, it feels like they actually play the fucking game lol. Second has okay insight, good hype. The rest are really bad.

I think Doug is cringe af, and he offers no insight into the game and has really cringe wordplay. "When you dance with the devilish Dapr, it's a done deal!" That shit is seared in my mind for eternity because of how fucking dumb it is. I think about it in the shower. Balla has much better insight, but he does not generate any hype whatsover. Tom/Mitch, I honestly like them, especially when they casted Gambit's 13-0 vs G2 on Icebox, but they've since faded.

It's kind of appalling how bad the casting is for how high the production value of all the LANs are. Why can't they bring in actual Radiants/Pros with any amount of personality?? Make Steel cast, he is unemployed, and he is like the Draymond Green of the Valorant community - controversial, kind of shit but actually really good, with legitimate takes and commentary. Tarik?? They literally fly him into every LAN, so he can generate half of Valorant's viewership. But holy shit, I'd nut so hard if he actually casted. He is not eloquent whatsoever, but he is still a seasoned professional and he is hilarious.

Oce casters hard carrying the scene

i was having fun at the waterslide when suddenly i noticed a big shadow covering the entire pool i looked up and there i saw him, Ardiis. He was coming straight for me, he jumped into the pool and the velocity of the wave that followed knocked me unconcious.

When i woke up i was chained in a cold and dirty room and there he was, streaming the popular shooter game VALORANT on Twitch while talking to his chat, somehow he managed to say the word "bro" 254 times in just 3 sentences how is that even possible?? I quickly realised that the chains were actually made of chocolate, confused (and mainly hungry) i started licking and sucking them as fast as i could and managed to crawl out of the room -that i presumed was probably his mothers basement- while remaining unseen.

I searched around the house for an exit and i quickly found the front door. As soon as i exited the building i saw a horde of angry Brazilians holding blowtorches and pitchforks chanting at ardiis and calling him a racist and a loser. I didn't really care so i tried to get out of the scene as soon as possible but just as i was about to step out of the house, ardiis put his enormous hand on my shoulder and whispered with a soft and melodic tone in my ear "You're not going anywhere pumpkin pie" and "Daddy's gonna take care of this swifly". He stepped out of the house and suddenly yelled "WATCH THIS" as he flamboyantly dashed into the air and suddenly made 5 knives materialise around him. He used the knives to effortlessly tap every single brazilian in the area.

I was so afraid, blood was spilled everywhere. When it all was over ardiis looked in my direction and i knew that it was over, if they didnt stand a chance, then i wouldnt either, so i just gave up. Ardiis started walkingin my direction each step making the ground shake. When he got to me he just sat down on me saying that i got cold and he needed to warm me up. After a while he took me inside the smelly basement again and took his clothes off. He started smelling me and licking my ear, and then he suddenly got very embarrased and told me i can just leave.

Turns out that this was a huge misunderstanding, this whole time he thought that i was a chocolate egg and he wanted to eat me. The disappointment on his face when he realized the mistake he had done was palpable, a tangible testament to the depth of his sorrow.

i read allat and the ENTIRE thread bren posted about casting. and you are not offering any counterpoints to what he said. you are just posting a nothingburger of words that said you don't enjoy the casting and think it could be better.

Bren's entire thread was talking about how fucking hard it is to cast the game because there is so much happening in the game that you have to continually switch between talking about in order to actually bring value to casting. and you just kind of ignored that and said hire Tarik and Steel, two people who react big and are big names.

Sgares responded to the thread with a little bit of information that I think puts into perspective just how much harder Val is to cast than something like CS. In Val there is almost never something as a free round. There are also barely any breaks for the casters to build up hype. The game is also just much shorter so they have less time to build a story with each game. Val is more confusing with more thrown at both casters, observers, and the viewer.

Casters have to spend so much time on strategy making sure that the audience is able to keep up with all the things that "could" happen. All just examples I have for sure heard: 'brim is one off ult here how will they decide to play around that', 'jett has knives and kj has a hero rifle on eco', 'sova has an odin this round', 'cypher is playing kill trips this time on B'. Stuff like that is what Bren was talking about... but here you are "Draymond Green of valorant"
