"seek professional help" people are delusional

What are therapists gonna do with your problems? Can they cure your ugliness? Can they brainwash everyone around you so that they start treating you better? Obviously not. They will feed you alprazolam that makes you braindead and you eventually get addicted to it. On top of that the interaction is never genuine and therapists don't give a fuck about you. Do not always suggest therapists to someone with problems, please. You don't realize it but you might just make everything worse for this person

It may not always work but it’s there for a reason, Getting therapy is a million times better then just hating yourself and thinking about how your life is over

therapists are not feds bro theyre there to help you accept yourself and change yourself for the better so you leave a positive impact. The more helpful you are, the more value you bring, qualified therapists will always bring some level of change in a person

You getting on here and shouting that therapists cant can't help anyone could be detrimental to people thinking about getting help. Even if you ahd a negative personal experience that doesn't mean you can mock people who suggest professional help.

Maybe because therapist are actually trained to deal and work with people with mental illnesses. And on top of that good amount of them own a lot of experience and have cured people. Any help is better than nothing, but professionals are professionals for a reason.

ive gone to therapy for the last 2 years and its turned me from a suicidal uni dropout to pretty much turning my life around and doing better than I would have done had I not dropped out of uni. 0 medication or anything during this period. In my experience I was super doubtful about what therapy could achieve, but its 100% worth it, so slating it when you clearly have never tried it just seems like your own self justification

I don't know the specific med you're talking about, but getting onto meds literally saved my life. I was put onto meds after trying to end it. Sure I've still had low points, but I'm not living a constant battle of wanting to die. It gets better bro

I know it is and I have it. My point is that therapy is not a universal solution to one's problems and people should stop writing scripted messages everytime depression is mentioned

I agree that theyre no blanket cure for everything. You can find a bad one and they cant change your life circumstances either.

But they can absolutely help you process your emotions, make you aware of the fucked up ways your mind is hurting you or lying to you, give you more perspective/clarity/awareness, the tools necessary to move foward and just a sense of direction.

If your life circumstances allow you to get help you definitely should. And yes, sometimes you will have to switch around until you find the right fit. But youre for sure better of this way than staying put in your shit situation and doing nothing.

Therapists are not a cure themselves but they can be crucial mentors/guides on your path of healing.

If you don't wanna seek professional help, I'm all ears. I felt like you do at one point in my life and I was lucky enough to have compassionate people around me to help me through it. All I can hope to do is pass that on to others struggling around me. If not, just know it's always possible to get better, you just have to put in the effort to turn things around.

the only good thing about therapists is being able to vent.
Problem is there are ALOT of them who dont allow you to do it properly.
its almost a quest to find a good one.

But to answer your question, its because no one knows what to do to help you. deep down the only person that can help you is yourself or religion, and even then technically speaking religion its a "you" thing since nobody can give you a better connection to your God.
People dont like thinking about the fact that there are bad things going on, we live hedonistic lifestyles so when someone brings up the obvious negatives of life it "cuts their buzz".

You cant make yourself the "CHAD" you want to be, but you can find other factors to which you can attribute value to yourself.
Hobbies, work, interests, solidarity.
The thing is in the end YOU decide what happens, a therapist wont heal you, you heal yourself, the therapist just gives you an outsiders perspective, which can be helpful if your head is too stuck up your own ass

who should i rely on?
doctors, researches, people with degree, especialized websites, daily newspapers
or
seere from vlr?
might not work for everybody, but if the person is depressed, she/he should definitely try it with an open heart

not every therapist will be good, not every therapist is even understanding. but if you find a good therapist they can help you think things over.
what people seem to misunderstand about therapy is that it there is no way to just have someone else come and fix all of your problems, therapists are there to help you understand them and guide you to recovery. if you are ugly, a therapist wont make you look better, but can help you become confident in yourself, if people treat you like shit, a therapist can help you understand why they do it, and how you can change to make people respect you. most therapists interactions are genuine, however obviously since it is their JOB and you are paying them to do it there is no way for it to seem so, again a good therapist is all the difference in the world.

with all that being said if you being ugly and people treating you like shit are the worst things you have to worry about, man up and stop bein a bitch. you got it made

there are people who therapy wont work for, but for the vast majority of people it will.
the point of therapy is that it isnt a universal solution to one problem, it is a supporting factor in solving all of the individuals problems, everyones problems are different but these people are highly educated and trained to help with all sorts of issues, something you clearly know nothing about

finally someone who gets it. It just baffles me how people think therapists are the universal cure for depression. If you want to help someone just let them vent, do not say "just see the therapist" over and over again. Crazy how people start trashing me while not even trying to understand the message

First of all, therapists don't prescribe you medicine. Second of all, while there are obviously bad therapists out there, there are many good ones who do care, and can provide help.

momma told me to ONLY seek psychologists/therapists and NOT psychiatrists/doctors
yeah I used to take prescribed xans and addy and she was heavily against it (I have ADHD and depression at the same time)
but after taking them for a short while (she allowed me to take, but when I finished the whole pack, I'm not allowed to revisit the doctor) I started to feel better honestly
and now I just kinda like carry on, and used herbals (ashwagandha, in particular) to help me reduce stress and increase focus, although the effect is kinda minimal. honestly it is why i have it as my vlr name

for people with suicidal thoughts, pls contact the suicide hotline ASAP

No one is saying there is 1 single solution due depression. But going to a therapist helps a lot. Even if it's to just vent. The catch is that u have to chose a good therapist who knows what they are doing

I had depression for 3 years when I was struggling with other health problems. Talking about all my issues was the best decision of my life.
