Everything going according to sliggy and mini plan. Basically put pressure on apac.
Achilios was the one that put all of APAC at the top, sliggy and mini just didnt arrgue it
G2 has still only ever been ranked #1 once by platchat, which was them going into Toronto
ik the cn teams are hard to rank but the fact these guys just put them all at the bottom 😭
there was a 1+ hour segment of mini and tmv talking about how bad china was when they vod reviewed it so they did watch it
No I'm talking specifically about the moment where they talk how they didn't want to bod reveiw because it was so bad, not the segment about China itself
but the entire segment about china was literally just bashing it... even when praising rargas aim, they still follow it up with "but his yoru utility is unbelievably shit" which transitions nicely into bashing CBs yoru utility and EDGs macro as a whole
no right sure but I was just referring to the full negative moment at the beggining of the show
the thought process is just
china = bad region
edg = 3rd in china
none of them actually know what they are talking about
I mean lowkey if they don’t know that much about the Chinese games, and the fact that china is always unpredictable (they’re always high on xlg but they always do bad, and then a team like wolves surprises everyone), it’s kinda fair to just put them at the bottom
im not saying its not reasonable but if there was ever a meta where macro doesn't matter this is the one. kangkang has the highest fbsr in the world right now, ag have a good meta read but lack defensive depth, and xlg are solid fundamentally but have a pressure issue. if im on there im at least picking one of these to punt higher than 10th 😭
they lack macro understanding and strategic depth. mechanically they are just as good as other regions and all the teams attending have a good meta read. clearly the worst region but they aren't ever going to have a event even close to as bad as champs 2025
the "china is actually good" narrative is completely baseless and just something people say because they want it to be true. the only team capable of making it to the playoffs is XLG, but being capable of making it doesn't mean you are necessarily a stronger team, it's who has the higher probability of going further. edg are not good at all

yeah, they won masters Bangkok last year, and then, they been absolutely shit
also, i don’t have any expectations from them, but we’ll see when masters santiago starts
i just think they hate so many teams so they put them lower, cause their glaze compare to other teams is too strong

These rankings are objectively solid. I don’t see any glaring errors.
While I may not agree with all the rankings (I would swap nrg and bbl), I can see why they were made.
Legit i don't see how people are rating nrg lower than some of these inexperienced teams
like we've never had a team with 5 rookies do well
As mini said this is the meta apac has been waiting for if they don’t win in it it’s a disaster
