i mean that's kind of the point. they're literally hired to be interesting and engaging. most people on twitch have the personality of either a rock or a wet blanket so it's refreshing seeing people actually fucking TALK and make an effort to be entertaining even if they're not really good yfm?

there is literally no reason to hate vtubers unless they are controversial as shit
it's cuz it's associated with basement dwellers. it's similar to how anime was seen in some of the older eras of the internet. it's a newer form of expression & content and it jars a lot of people about how someone can find any meaningful connection or get a reaction out of someone demoting themselves to an artistic caricature. it's why people constantly associate vtuber fans with being parasocial, gooners, incels, or all three.
oh now I kinda see the similarity but it doesn't justify the hate, the parasocial, gooners, and incels are literally the loudest minorities in any internet community u can find
yeah and that's why the stigma's gonna change with time once they slowly get more mainstream. they're alr a core part of streamer culture atp and it's only a matter of time until regular people start seeing the appeal through giving it a shot or being exposed

Honestly in this current streamers and content creators, I would say there isn't much anymore unless you like ragebaiting. The Japanese vtubers are pretty much comedians in the hololive space so they are more entertaining too especially if u understand Japanese
although i used to be extremely nerdy about them but that was a few years ago
Mostly just mainstream vtubers that pop up on twitch, only one i really followed was neuro sama cuz i thought it was funny

Hololive has branches for other languages like Indonesian and English. Also, I feel the Japanese used by vtubers is not very advanced.
Laplus is probably my favourite but she doesn't stream much now
Fubuki and suisei are the only other one's entertaining enough and don't goon bait too much...
