i got 9k in csgo, maybe 5-6k in valorant and i dont consider them wasted. i made great friends, many that ive know for over 10 years and i got to experience things like playing on lans, bootcamping and just competing overall. i learnt things about myself, what i can and cannot handle under pressure, and to a complete shut-in like me it was a way to learn communicating and working with ppl. also made me realize just how much it takes to get to the very top at anything, even though i didnt have it in me.
but my experience is different from an average high elo player since i mostly played in teams all those hours and not only ranked

a cs country historically like the nordics, t2 has plenty of german players though but theyre perma stuck in dach vcl

efficiency is money, but the gained efficiency costs even more money. the big guy investor money dump isnt infinite and thats whats keeping the datacenters lights on while they go 5 bil on the negative (openAI). the efficiency is gone with the money.
thats why you see them buying 70 mil domain names and super bowl ads and w/e, desperately wanting you to think its the future by pushing it in everywhere and feed the fearmongering, so they money keeps coming just a bit longer.

id say its inevitable it will get breached, not a just a risk but a guarantee. already happened in just a month when they first introduced it and its going to happen again but now its going to be 100x the users if not more. i wouldnt trust their claims of not storing anything either, its exactly what they said before that breach.
so their promises of only limiting it for nsfw channels etc dont really hold much value. if they see it as a successful way to farm data, id say its likely that theyre going to lower the bar as much as they can

i dont follow seasonal anime usually but frieren is an exception. it surprised me with how well written it is, i went in with expecting just a comfy feel-good anime and it certainly is all that to a perfection but the memory scenes with the old party members quickly became my favorite part of the show.
i think its popular and hyped for a good reason, i dont even think its that slow (and i have adhd, just a nod to the comment above), but maybe if youre a shonen fan who needs boss fight every episode its not for you

id say the "bad mental" is more that hes very self critical, harsh on himself and quick to lose confidence because of that. and unfortunately his style of playing heavily relies on confidence. not the kinda "bad mental" that makes you lash out at your team and ff etc lol
he played for eg for awhile and did some upsets in open quals in the plumber era of valorant but after that he has just been kinda average in the few teams hes played since. idk if he ever really found his role either which doesnt help getting picked up, he seems to switch role with every team hes on instead of specializing in one

no incentive to grind higher just for the rr number after you reach #1, also they did make it harder at some point with adjusting how much you lose and gain at that high. you gain like 8 and lose +25 so its just too much work to try to go for wr that was set in a different rr system
overall grinding in radiant has probably declined too since its just the same buddy every time

ive had both and only thing i missed after going back to android after 5 years of ios was the gesture navigation systems but like always you can modify your android to do that too.
sideloading apps is just too good, having all apps like twitter, youtube, spotify, even tiktok just revanced to have 0 ads and with all premium options enabled and shit ton of more custom ones added is something i cant imagine not having. + i like having apps like mihon/tachiyomi/stremio for manga and movies which are banned from apple stores.
