+++Abyss is a really hard map to analysis why ? Because, we have a really small sample size, since Abysse was just here for Kickoff and Champs.
But the only thing i’m sure is that Sova is a must have, he was dominating even during the Tejo meta.
Then, for everything else, it’s a mess.
Before the smoke nerf, they where a huge debate about should you pick double controller or not, and I think the increase of smoke cooldown definitly solve it : you have to pick 2 controller ? Why because this time the debate doesnt revovlve around « is Viper op or not », it revolve around « Should I need 2 dome smoke or maybe a Harbor» if you did consider it when it was 30s CD, you definitly need 2 domes smokes once it’s 40s CD. So you have to pick 2 between Omen, Astra and Harbor, and since Omen did poorly, I think Harbor-Astra is the correct choice, depending if Harbor didn’t get destroy too mush by the rework. Of course Viper always stays a dark horse on every map.
About duelist, Jett, Waylay, and also Yoru when utilised as a soloduelist did all decent, but Yoru did horrible as a 2nd duelist, but it was during Tejo Meta... Pick one among thoose 3
It remain one spot for either a sentinel or an flasher We could check the archetype chart, but we don’t have enough data to make it significant, and the small data we have was mostly during Tejo meta, so we better see agent per agent,
Let’s look at flasher first : Breach was strong during Tejo meta, but oonly because of their synergy, so postnerf he is back being trash, so Yoru and Kayo are a better option if you want to pick a flasher.
For sentinel, the top 2 sentinel get heavy nerf, so again if you want to peak a sentinel, peak the one you are the most confortable one, and since neither a flasher or a sentinel dominate, Veto may be a really decent option ?
So to conclude, Sova is a must have, I recommand Astra-Harbor, and then, it’s pretty open and pick what you are confortable on, as long as you pick at least one diver.

Mostly agree, but I think not having both sentinel and any flashes is troll (depends how bad cypher is post-nerf). So I would say if you are using yoru then going senti as 5th is best but if jett/waylay I think maybe replacing harbour/astra for omen and having senti 5th is the play.
Essentially I think you need both senti and some flashes to have a strong abyss

Thats a really good point point, I should have put more emphasis on that.
Composition without a flasher was at 62% NMWR T1+T2 (But Not pro team did try in T1), so it's not that trollesque,

But yes if I take only 2025, it's better to have 2 ctrl + 1 revl + 1 duel + 1 flash + 1 senti, so if you want to cover all you need an Hybrid agent, so you have to go either Yoru solo-duel or Vyze as the 5th, if I would have make the video longuer that probably what I would have add. (But It's an important point, I should talk about it on Split and Corrod next video)
Everything is viable. It's all about the creativity behind the use of the abilities in combination with others.
This. If a team can play breach Astra fade neon yoru on breeze (map 5) in grand finals of a masters tournament. Anything is viable you just play off each other.

i personally would love to see Astra/Harbor. I don't think it's been played a lot, if at all, but it sounds really fun and is a nice switch-up from Omen.
Great work as always with the video, I don't think people understand that you're collecting agent meta data yourself and analyzing that, and not expressing subjective opinions about which you THINK is the best.
Which dive duelist + 5th slot do you think is best? Personally I think if it's a sentinel, then something like Yoru, Sova, Astra, Harbor, and Cypher would work.
If a flasher, then maybe Waylay, Sova, KAY/O, Astra, and Harbor.

Cascade was so useful on this map, so it's hard to tell if new Harbor still gets the same or greater value
Thats the big question mark, I do think the new cove compensate largely that, especially ion a map where double dome is viable. I cant wait to be in january when I've finish every map and we can see some data !
How would you say the cove compensates though? Is it being used to block a sightline in mid, or to jump peek with the shield, or something else? It just seems a little awkward

Omen smoke are absolutely OP, and cove are even better than Omen's, only downside is to have 1 instead of 2, but thats still strong (A little bit less than Omen, but it's still storng)
I suppose he is the only agent to have both the flexibility of omen smoke with the instant execute of brim (via high tide). However, I still can't get past the fact that he has much less total smoke than he used to, and the storm surge is just mediocre too
It's good, harbor did have too many smoke, and wasnt efficient enough to function as a solosmoke
Viper is the big question mark, she is THE double smoker by excellence, this map is double smoke and yet, see no play, so... I donno
What is the prob with Harbor ? You prefer Omen as a second duelist ? Or maybe Viper despite she had any play last year ?
Because Astra+Omen where really popular, so the wall isnt the key, the fact he is now even more hybrid between double dome et wall make him fit even more

The reason why not Viper is that : she was always unpopular on the map, we saw more Astra-Omen (double dome wish is really rare) than VIper. It's my fav char, but for the moment she saw no play. If she come on the map I would be glad

Honestly i feel like viper is being slept on for this map, like the defense wall of A and mid, basically does old harbor cascade except... It can be used any time, and the new b main to mid entry point means you can exert constant pressure of it happening... Attacking walls i havent found but defense wall i have
Honestly, I think people do sleep on her on everymap, so yes,I think she should hit a solid 20% on this one
