Apeks Apeks Inactive ' Mehmet "batujnax" Batu Özaslan has been allowed to explore options outside the organization. He will remain under contract with the team for the time being while he searches for future prospects.

Forced to rebuild after winning Ascension, Apeks turned to the relatively unknown Turkish rookie batujnax to join the team on their journey through VCT EMEA. Making a late debut in Kickoff, he had an unusual start to the season. Only playing three maps, he looked completely out of his depth on the two where he played Sova, but absolutely dominated on the one where he played Yoru and was given an Operator.

Given this debut performance, many thought Apeks would lean into batujnax's duelist play, but he instead transitioned into a Sentinel/flex player for the rest of the year. He had a couple of strong performances, but none that could save Apeks from going winless throughout the whole year.

Now relegated from VCT, Apeks are still deciding what the future holds for the organization in Valorant.
