icl i thought riot paid this guy some hush money, but he's just a lying fraud that retreated after being exposed
sean gares teased the community that he has evidence of serious matchfixing in tier 2, which got the community riled up. When he actually made the video, it was just some bad "tier 2 level" plays and some discord dms, basically a nothingburger
some of these moments were so bad too like he showed clips of people running knife out?? people just doing dry peeks as proof of matchfixing😭😭

the thread still was on the left but i do care when they openly get praised even though they have numerous law suits around gender discrimination & harrassment and defemation. This has nothing to do with riot being own by tencent. It’s just that the investigation found nothing. Either nothing to find or the evidence was covered up.
Just because they investigated and didn’t find anything doesn’t mean nothing was there to find. The dms shown are highly fishy but do not implicate anyone specifically.
I didn’t say they are lying, just that they found nothing. Either no match fixing to be found or they didn’t investigate deep enough to discover evidence. I personally think it is the latter, but there are limits to what a game company can do investigation on. I can’t really blame riot.
Riot has bad ideas which they thoroughly implement, its not that they dont do the job well when there is one.

It literally says in the first para that third party companies were involved in the investigation. Yea they're a dickhead company many times but there's very little reason for them to defend this kinda stuff. They get zero profit and the fallout could kill their biggest cash cow

riot keeps the scene alive because it keeps people playing the game, and it is more respectable for a competitive game to have a franchised leagues with 48 world wide orgs, not bc it makes them any amount of actual money

I also don't trust Riot, IF the matchfixing was real, they probably would say it's not real until someone else can prove it. I think this whole situation was exaggerated, but I also don't trust Riot Games to be conducting any kind of investigations.
