lev is literally the only team in the past 4 years to miss champs after winning masters that year. the problem is on them, not the format.

maybe i am just coping but im not even a lev fan shrug
my only complaint is that I kinda don't get the logic that a win over EG matters more than winning a top 1-3 emea/china/apac team, but that's pretty much it. Not neccesarily anything to do with lev, just when the champs points are to ''reward consistency across the year'', I would kinda assume as an outside that wins AT masters also count. Sure, teams can get A LOT of points (lev would get like 15 with trophy + every individual game), but then given that you qualified for champs, you need to prove you didn't just fluke a masters. And as an outsider I kinda don't get the logic for champs points being #3 and #4, and not #1 and #2. The playoffs would kinda make more sense as an LCQ of sorts to me.
That would punish teams who got a bye since they would have 3 less games to play

I feel like champs points make more sense as ''okay these 2 teams were the best THROUGHOUT the entire year, even at masters, so they deserve it way more, hence they are 1-2. everyone else fights in the last stage and gets 3-4.'' The best is being the best throughout the year, representing the region in the best way at masters, not just being in form in the last stage.
G2 was better throughout the year AND when it mattered the most that's kinda why they were qualified
yeah but they were better in the REGION, not at INTERNATIONALS. Like, to me it just doesn't make sense how wins in the top 8 of masters do not count towards the champs points, yet wins over kru or eg or envy do. Like g2 literally got over leviatan because of wins in kickoff. It doesn't make sense to me how wins over new just formed rosters in january value more than wins against top opposition in june
