wdym no? I feel like xross by default has a big advantage just on basis of Neon missing an entire stage. Even when NS struggled in stage 1 he’s been consistently good, he showed up at Santiago, and he’s still showing up now
problem with this is that Xross in his santiago run was constantly overshadowed by Dambi/Francis/Ivy outside of the grand final, while Neon was always the centerpiece of the LEV hype during london
neon is playing star roles, if xross isn’t playing scan he does the same thing
also rookie of the year as an award should be rewarding consistency over everything

Both of them are obviously generational talents, but in my opinion, Neon is easily a top-5 most talented player of all time; I really think he’s talented and consistent enough to be the future GOAT of the game. It’s really sad that Lev didn’t make it to Masters, because I’m sure they would’ve had a great run.

tbh both sides have pretty valid reasons, stats wise neon looks ahead but his sample size is a lot smaller than xross this year.

I dont think Neon made them lose, I just think you were framing it as though it was entirely out of his control and shouldn't be considered when talking about his performance this year, when it really should.
