Can’t really be unfair if that’s the standard also just makes the most sense. If you have easy matchups for example or just happen to get a more favorable path your stats would be more inflated are you really the “mvp” if majority of your stats are just from farming the worse teams at the event? You’d also then have to factor in players that didnt even make the grandfinals.

yeah that's why you should look at the finals match
were Alfajer played crazy but had to play with a -30 guy a guy with a 8/18 Yoru map and the same -30 guy having only 6 kills in an OVERTIME MAP
imagine that
he made 6 kills in 26 rounds
how is a team going to win with an IGL playing in such a bad way

you can't blame stats inflation when the best Alfajer matches were against PRX/WOL/SEN

and then you can't factor in players that didn't make the grand final and even if you do you can see they didn't performed even close as Alfajer in the most important matches
bro made one of the best finals performances ever and even losing was the best player in the match by far

If we’re talking about players player with bad teams then verno is far and beyond the mvp… as you can see this is just a stupid criteria lmao.
