to me it was, i mean were else in europe would it be held? it's somewhere where there hasn't been a tournament yet, that's a good developed country/convenient location to travel to, and where there's gonna be representation among players(boaster, benjy, keiko)
how exactly would that change? i doubt the top teams would suddenly change players, meaning the teams that actually have good chances of qualifying to the masters tournament (liquid, fnatic, heretics). a one italian bipo in gentlemates or some other team wouldnt really do shit to change anything.

london might be too expensive to host a VCT tournament in. idk if valorant is big enough for that yet. idk how much riot spent for champions paris but it must be a hefty amount but i still think that a tournament in london would cost more because the stadiums and locations in london and everything else that goes into running a tournament on that scale is generally astronomically expensive in london.

Think Londons too much of a popular location for just a masters. The venue prices would be insane
they could pull a tokyo and host it an hour away and still call it masters london

There have been major Esports events that took place in Manila, so I thought it wouldn't be a bad decision to host a Masters there. Also would be great for the Filipino Valorant fanbase, and maybe TS will take some motivation from it and actually play good to qualify for it
the city of Manila and Metro Manila (the region) are different. the city of Manila itself is terrible, awful traffic, all around dirty, etc. There are good places in Metro Manila. My concern is simply that internet speeds are lackluster, the traffic and transport options are terrible. I have a few guesses for which place they can host a valorant tourney there and they're all within super high density, high traffic areas.

yeah, regardless I had hear rumors of masters santiago online and kind of went with it. Also knew masters 2 was in EMEA so kinda guessed one out of the many cities they havent gone to (madrid, berlin, copenhagen, reyjkavik, paris, Istanbul were all done so the next biggest one that comes straight to mind is London). Last one ofc beijing is the capital so I chose that (ended up getting this wrong)
