probably not the government, medical staff are easier to bribe. happens in SK all the time.
5 month later edit lol: it doesn't matter how much/little corruption there is in singaporean gov i was talking about medical staff🤦
Singapore is the lowest corruption country in Asia, and like top 10 lowest corruption itw. There is ZERO tolerance for bribery in any sector
wtf anyone with two braincells knows that the guy was talking about jinggg
Bro doesn't know how to use context clues to figure out why Singapore is relevant 💀
If you are a Singaporean and have served NS, you would know it's possible
But either way I'm happy he doesn't have to waste 2 years lol
Why is this downvoted? Faking medical exemptions in the us was very common during the Vietnam war
no this isnt a bait, if u have money and connections its really not that hard to skip the military service.
i mean yeah, imagine if u were a doctor responsible for determining eligibility and some rich guy said he'd give you 50k to say he was unfit, unless you hated the guy for other reasons you would prob take the money, if you have a boss he'd probably just ask for a cut if he ever found out
"Paper Rex has determined that his medical condition does not affect his ability to compete at the highest levels of esports. Jinggg’s medical condition is a personal and private matter, therefore, Paper Rex and Jinggg’s family request that the public respect his privacy in this regard.:
kinda sus but i wont harp on it in case im wrong lmao
How do people in Singapore treat that usually? I know they aren't at war or anything but still consription is strict over there from what i heard? What people think of that there?
only way people skipped is spamming medical certs or acting like they have a mental illness lol. singapore makes even their top athletes who have been to the olympics go for military. not sure if jing paid or what, but its quite unlikely
Or Singapore approves him representing PRX and allowed him to play in Esports instead of Military. Some countries allow that sort of stuff.
singapore famously does not do that, their first olympic gold medalist still had to go
or if they got that level of approval from the government itself, theyy wouldnt just put in a tweet about a medical condition. they can just say he got exempt coz of what he does
True true, but then all the Singaporeans may go crazy hearing that news too. Lol
I'm unfit for military service in the US only because I have Epilepsy. You won't see me drafted for the inevitable WW3 😎
Nothing in Valorant is wild enough to cause a seizure for me. My medication helps a lot
I mean if mans did end up joining the military mans gonna have a blast w/ other countries military (training events, etc).
I.E Cobra Gold @ Thailand , and whenever marine corps does a meu
yeah he bribed for sure, happy to see him back tho
happens in korea too all the time
i heard if famous ppl do that in korea, they would get hard cancel though? Dont know about sg.
SG gold medalist had to enlist. No shot an esports player is getting off on shit unless its a real situation
like quite many of celebrities and rich people do that, some of them got caught and received a ton of backlash but there are ton of uncaught ones
happens in korea too all the time
That's it? That's your entire argument for why you're sure he bribed his way out of the Military in the country of SINGAPORE? LOL
I'm sure South Korea also has problems with how they treat Uyghurs, right? It has to be, cause I heard it happens in China all the time /s
idk why did you bring up Uyghurs for no reason
just thought if korea is corrupt af then sg might be too
i think i kinda misworded being sure, was just guessin
check the corruption rankings, Singapore has the lowest in Asia. Korea aint even close.
He does look kinda of unfit tbh, it might have been the constant grind for the last 3 years. Probably slacked on some physical excercises . I also don't know the physical requirement for the singpore military, might be tough
Even if you're physically unfit, they still can forced you to do admin work. My friend who is legally blind from keratoconus and is battling with hyperthyroidism which hinder him from doing any heavy exercise still got listed since he scored PES E. To be deemed unfit you need to get PES F which means you can't do admin work either from physical disorder or mentally unstable. This is why it's sketchy, some say it's because his parents is a multi millionaire with lots of influence, other say it's because PRX owner is a part of a conglomerate families worth billions.
Translation: his family and PRX poisoned Jingg so that he had health that was not suitable for military service
I don't know how military training works, but if you're deemed of abnormal weight, won't they just make you normal through training and stuff?
idk but theres certain qualities that you need to be apart of the military that you cannot change. Height, stability and endurance
