disagree, my first completion was with the shield no god mode
it’s the most noob friendly and will help a lot in the final boss fight
abuse the shield, you’ll get used to the attack patterns eventually
every boss is challenging at first but once you beat it for the first time it becomes easy
imo the hardest boss for a new player is probably theseus and the minotaur
