V1 should ditch game changers and go co-ed. Would be a good tier 2 team with a real flex player instead of whoever GC can offer.
they played in the open qualifiers last season and sure as hell will do the same for next season. it's not a matter of "choosing to go t2" and ditching GC, they're working hard to be able to play at that level and have been playing in co-ed tourneys since the beginning of the team. they just also happen to be GC eligible, so ofc they'll play there as well.
I think it is a matter of ditching GC. They need to upgrade. It'll be easier replacing from the male talent pool. Seriously, I think this team could qualify for challengers with a single roster switch.
but they want to try with this roster. and they're getting closer and closer all the time, closing the gap to t2 and improving as a team, so why switch tactics? it's also a matter of being financially viable, and farming GC prize money certainly incetivizes the org to keep supporting the team.
They're free to do whatever they wish. But mel always talks about having higher aspirations that go beyond gc into t2/t1 and how that is a shared goal with all the players on every team she's played on. The reality is not everyone has the talent to make their dreams come true. This is e-sports. Roster swaps happen. If they really wanna go higher, then I think that's the best option after this season is over.

I agree with them needing a roster switch. Disagree with turtle troop being a weaker tier 2 team. They look pretty strong atm.
iirc turtle troop was putting up good performances against Oxygen and MxM by the end of the season. Definitely on the higher end of t2 teams
why would any team thats not in tier 1 ever not play more matches?
theres so mucch more opportunity for gc teams as they can play in gc AND challengers
if they make challengers then theyll ditcch gc yeah
but until then its better to keep getting experience/income to keep playingg
Did you not read what I said? I think they need to replace one of their players with a strong T2 talent. If they can find a cracked undiscovered gc player, fine. Do that and play both. Otherwise I think it would be best to move on from gc and upgrade, focusing on nothing else but challengers, even if it means playing gc is no longer possible.

are we gonna pretend that losing to TT is something to be ashamed of? They're potentially the best, at worst 2nd best Tier 2 team. They played well. Nothing wrong with losing to Turtle Troops.
