is it a good place or overrated? (be honest)
i've met people telling me that it's the best place on the planet but at the same time the most disgusting and degenerate place to settle in
Edit: Planning to visit Texas (Dallas) because of relatives

I've got friends in dallas and its pretty nice yeah. DO NOT GO NORTH OKLAHOMA IS HELL ON EARTH.
I don’t think you will find anything valuable in Dallas in terms of a vacation. Texas is a place to live not rly a place to visit
What are you going for though, there isn’t much to do in Dallas unless you are visiting family or friends
yes I have my relatives over there, I might go to some other places once I reach there
I'd say yes, there's tons of stuff to do in Dallas but just be mindful of what parts of the area you're going to. There are nice parts of the area and other parts that I wouldn't bother going even in broad daylight.
I'm actually planning on doing a weekend trip there to visit one of my cousins in the fall
Edit: my only gripe might be that even in September it's still going to be scorching hot because we don't get an actual "fall" season until like late October so if you're not prepared you're going to have a bad time
As an honest NA resident i admit it's shit. Everyone living in NA should take their talents to EU
Both At the same time tbh. Also depends on where you live and the kind of person you are.
Some places are great especially if youre wealthy. Mixed bag for normal people.
And its a complete car country. 0 walkable cities besides maybe Nyc. I hate that
mec tu peux plus marcher à paris non plus avec tout les connards dans les rues
protestation de mes couilles ce sont que des ados qui ont rien a faire
Good if you want to live a life of debauchery and degeneracy
Otherwise no 🙂👍
overrated, and whoever told you it's the best place in the planet was plainly just lying. Did they also mention amendments while saying that? They love to mention amendments.
more than half of us dont even know the amendments who told you that
If you have money, almost all countries are good to live in. The problem is being an ordinary citizen and depending on the state to survive
if you ignore the constant racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, misogyny, disrespect for the homeless, poverty, government, etc. america is a flawless and perfect country!!!
tell me you have never been to any other country without telling me you've lived in any other country
what·a·bout·ism
noun BRITISH
the technique or practice of responding to an accusation or difficult question by making a counteraccusation or raising a different issue.
america is bad??? what about other countries??!?!?!?!?! other countries have the same problems so america not that bad!!!!
comparisons have to be relative... comparing to an idealistic perfect world is idiocy
It’s not a bad country to live in. Some are good only if you live 30-45 minutes away from a big city. So, more of a suburb rather than a town
Depends on the state really, but that's what's great about it -- massive country and lots of places to go to, settle in
it is a shit place until you've lived anywhere else in the world... especially Europe.. every American city would clear any and all European cities
america is the best place to live but not every american city clears all european cities
I’ve been living in the us for a while and Texas afaik is alright. Just never go to West Virginia
Austin only place worth going in Texas. But honestly if it’s ur first time in USA go to cali or northeast like Boston/NYC. By far the most to see in those areas
Coincedentally I’m living in Boston rn and it’s great. Lots of places to eat and some other good attractions commercially
A country where more than 3 major cities suck is clearly not a good one. I don't care if it's a purple state or yellow state.
America is literally the only country you could evaluate on this standard and it be compete nonsense and you still go with it 😭
deadass depends on where bc u have to remember the us is huge asf. prob why americans say which state theyre from rather than country. bc it really does make a difference. its kinda hard to genrealize 330 million ppl and 3.8 million square miles into 1 group
never been to texas but buc-ees seems pretty cool. theyre like the largest gas station or something and they have tons of stuff inside the store its like a mall. also try real texas barbecue for me PLEASE that shit looks legit legendary
Downtown Dallas is really nice, if you want to explore kinda like the Surburban areas I recommend going to Carrolton/Grand Prairie because it have a lot of good asian restaurants. Six Flags over Texas is pretty big as well n fun.
Just avoid idk Oak Cliff area (never had a issue over there growing up but them guns don't play)
it depends where u go. Like in la theres a bunch of good places but theres a bunch of homeless ppl and u can get jumped.
Water parks, 6 flags, street scene (cars, fashion, art) is pretty dope. Austin/Houston has a better nightlife. Texas in general is big, gotta drive everywhere, 20m to get around the city, 3-4h to get major city to major city in good traffic. Best food in the nation tho, especially the Chinatowns and Indiatowns. Agree its a place to live not to visit, good jobs, low prices.
depends on where you go, you mention Dallas and I've heard its a decent city to go to visit. But some places are definitely overrated or underrated in America like anywhere else.
