Map ban:
LOUD ban Split, G2 ban Haven (this one is super up in the air - I know loud will ban split, but I think g2 has played literally every map (i wasn't expecting them to whip out the summit vs lev but the harbor-viper looked shockingly good im highkey loving double wall) and haven is the one with the most issues, plus LOUD is great on haven)
LOUD pick Ascent, LOUD win 13-9 (I don't like g2's ascent at all, I think it's better than haven but the macro is dubious at times - i don't think loud will pick lotus, they beat them 13-1 but too many variables afterwards and a GREAT showing by g2 and a trash showing by loud complicate things)
G2 pick Abyss, G2 win 13-6 (G2's understanding of abyss is flawless, imo. The duelist synergy is NOT there, but I think with time babybay will get better at waylay and playing with jaw on duelist. The harbor cove heaven to stop spam, then astra smoke backsite, to save high tide to stop retakes is amazing, and their retake protocool istelf is amazing. G2 last year was the best team on abyss itw, teams and comps and metas have changed but they still understand it well)
here's where it gets interesting, I'm not sure about G2's ban at all
LOUD ban Summit imo, it's something they didn't expect g2 to have at all and I don't think they prepped summit very well based on their last game. I think they're happy with either sunset or lotus
call me crazy, G2 ban Sunset because their postplants look very dubious (just way too passive with sage in postplant, no space taken)

I am impressed with G2's pool. Their split looked great against the best team itw at split, their summit looked decent with the harbor play, their abyss is amazing, their haven is dubious but can ban it, their ascent looked decent but may have some issues that can be fixed with more time, their sunset is amazing on defense although I think JoshRT has to fix the postplants (but still a good map), and their lotus is great against teams not named loud. I just think that G2's playstyle is completely countered by Loud's very slow style; g2 is amazing at their own style, definitely best itw at it (too bad it's not the best meta, aka double duelist), and it has great play most of the time into double duelist, but into Loud's weird pacey-but-not-quite-pacey style, it really doesn't work. Loud is basically g2's kryptonite
i don’t think loud will ban summit, yes g2 won and has a good comp in theory but its a map that they have barely practiced up until now and they were tempting to float either ascent or summit against LEV. LOUD have some reps on it and has had a good showing so far
Loud has been very willing to PICK lotus and sunset however - they don't really pick summit, they usually let it float. I think that they definitely saw problems with G2's sunset like I did, and they DEFINITELY saw problems with g2's lotus. G2's summit actually looked pretty good, the harbor wall ideas looked very good and it didn't LOOK like a perma-ban to me, probably were keeping it hidden until they needed it.
I think they'd ban summit because it's the worst of the 3; imo they're better than g2 on Haven, Ascent, Sunset, and Lotus for sure, so this is just the safest way to play the veto.
LOUD has never picked lotus in any of their games in stage 2 & they picked Summit 3 times
