NRG misses champs only if LEV, G2, and NRG all miss gf and NRG can’t overtake either LEV or G2 in points. NRG is the #1 seed. in playoffs, finishing 4th gives you 4pt.
so basically, if NRG gets just 1 win in playoffs, they automatically qualify for champs regardless of how other teams finish.

if NRG loses to EG, champs points after group stage:

the worst case scenario for NRG is if LEV, G2, and NRG all miss gf, and NRG can’t overtake either LEV or G2 in points.

here are the scenarios:

・at least one of LEV, G2, or NRG makes gf -> guaranteed champs qualification

・NRG finishes 4th -> they miss champs if G2 finishes 3rd. however, even if G2 takes 3rd, NRG can still qualify if they face and win LEV in the playoffs.

so if NRG loses to EG, one playoff win won’t be enough to guarantee champs. but if they win EG, if NRG gets just 1 win in playoffs, they automatically qualify for champs regardless of how other teams finish.

i was originally a leo and fnc fan and became an ethan fan too during eg's 2023 run, but since i didn't like optic, 2024 nrg was only my favorite team "in americas." then leo predicted oxg to win 2024 americas stage 1 (chronicle predicted dfm btw), so i started watching oxg games and became a massive skuba fan. ever since skuba joined nrg for the 2025 ewc americas qualifiers, nrg has been the ONLY team i support.

i can't check the official rulebook right now, but isn't the tiebreaker order:

1. h2h match record
2. overall map diff
3. overall round diff
4. h2h map diff
5. h2h round diff
6. tiebreaker match

the minimum points they get in playoffs is 4, even if lev beats mibr and nrg loses to eg, lev is 4 points ahead of nrg, in case of a tie in points, stage 2 results will determine the higher ranking, so points don't even matter to nrg anymore
