i wasn't around for the forum culture but i did watch a ton of vct that year, good times
watching yay absolutely shit on every1 in 2022 was probably the most fun ive had watching this game. i wasnt even all that familiar with the in depth shit of high level gameplay. i just found it super fun to watch the chamber meta, wish it could come back the way it was back then
I remember it but barely, my old account I stopped using because I was off valorant but I returned and decided for a new beginning with a new accoiumt

It was more active more fun bcz honestly we serious ones don't make vlr VLR it's those with great humor and baits who do which has gone down a lot by now .
Also this forum was much more heated type back then people took everything seriously fought over everything and engaged lot more with valorant game threads than random threads. Atleast that's how I remember 2022 even though I barely commented back then

2022 was unbelievably peak… every game felt like it mattered. You had more intensity in a knights monthly gauntlet final than 99% of domestic t1 matches have now. Teams actually had aura back then. There was actual beef between players and between fans. Getting to see established orgs like faze and optic play the smaller teams like ghost gaming was awesome. Pro players still had the time to grind ranked so watching the pros queue into 6+ other pros wasnt rare. I will never forget 2022 val

I remember andbox vs sen and xset vs optic better than I do some matches at champs 2024 tbh, it felt like these matches mattered so much more and idk why
just having a chance for "underdog" teams to take down the kings of regions was so peak
