ever since 83 the interest of people started growing in cricket(it was already a big sport but not that big) and bcci(the governing body of cricket in India) got rich hence the big cricket infrastructure other sports lagged behind because they were already not doing good internationally(maybe except hockey). Ever since IPL was introduced in 2008 it's a GG for other sports
Governments all over the world are invested in all kinds of popular sports, pushing for example to host major tournaments (see Qatar football world cup for example, there was pretty much no football scene in Qatar beforehand, it was purely a government effort).
Sports can help a country with their international image ("sportswashing"), and also promote national brands which sponsor national sports teams, etc.
It's not like that really. Women do exercise a lot of rights here, and there's also this whole thing of "woman is innocent until proven guilty" while it's the opposite for men. It's only in the rural and strict conservative areas that women don't have power or the will to do what they want, but even that's changing. India is progressing as a society, but I hope they don't become too liberal.

Infrastructure is a part. But the thing is esport is not a job here. In other countries for example athletes gymnastits start training at a young age. In our country if u have the talent that talent will be cultivated only when u reach like teenage and that itself if we r lucky. Very rarely does young talented kids are found. Being good in studies starts at a young age. It's the part of the culture now.
Reasons :
- Most Indians don't have good facilities for gaming like high end setups and good Wi-Fi.
- Esports culture isn't really encouraged here, and is rather discouraged if anything.
- We Indians tend to do stuff half-heartedly, and our situation in Valorant is just like that.
- Most of us are into actual sports than professionally playing video games.
- Not a sustainable way of earning, as opposed to being an engineer, doctor, chartered accountant, or any thing for that regard.
No lol most of us want it to remain as India. Bharat was already an alias for India in Hindi, and we're proud of it. But to completely change the name of India to Bharat? Hell nah!

Bharat and India are both the same. It's language difference, In english it is called India and in Hindi it is called Bharat. Name "Bharat" is said to come from "King Bharat" who is regarded as our ancestor and India was given by Greeks derived form word 'Indus' which steams from 'Sindhu'. Both name are our pride.
Many people support it because some believes our identity and name should be based on our culture and our language and not given by foreigner in foreign language, which is fair. And some whatsapp university graduates believes India name was given by colonist and we should be called Bharat to de-colonize ourselves.
This is only around social medias. In reality, government has never proposed to change name to Bharat. They just used name Bharat in G20 summit, which is okay given both name India and Bharat are constitutionally valid. This all buzz is created only for Political purpose and trust me all people will forget anything about renaming to Bharat after 2024 elections.
India is an amazing place for tourism. I would highly recommend visiting the Taj Mahal, the Gateway of India, cities like Hyderabad and Chennai. Kerela (south Indian state) has a lot of tourist attractions and a lush green atmosphere. Oh, and how could I forget Goa? Goa is a must-visit when you're touring India. Rajasthan is also a beautiful place, especially Udaipur.
I don't think it's that difficult to be an introvert here since most people won't give a damn about you lol, but be prepared to meet some locals who just want to take selfies with you cuz you're a foreigner! Also language isn't an issue here, many of us can speak English.
Please avoid visiting the Taj Mahal, it is not an engineering Marvel nor does it have anything to do with being the symbol of love. It's a symbol of lust and the empire was known for male chauvinism and was a production factory of kids where woman were treated like slaves. Heck, the king married his own daughter after the death of his wife lmao. If you really want to explore the true culture and beauty of India, visit Leh Ladakh, Manali, Coorg, Varanasi, Rajasthan, Kodaikanal, Ooty, Rishikesh to name a few.
If you want to see the historical structures of India and true engineering marvels, visit the Ajanta caves, Bahai Lotus Temple, Rani ki Vav an DO NOT MISS Kailash Cave (a huge temple carved out of a single rock!).
I dont really know anything about Taj Mahal could you please explain what the problem is with visiting it? I mean, lots of people visit places where terrible things happened to learn more about the history. I guess they don't talk about the bad stuff that happened there and try to market it as a symbol of love. Is that what you're saying? I did check out the recommendations you gave me, and they all look really cool, so thanks for those :) Gonna have to do some research myself before I go for sure though.
What I mean is Taj Mahal does not portray the true culture of India, it was built by an invader and has disgusting history around it. As an Indian, I am not proud of it and it does not represent us culturally. Sure, it is a part of the history of the country, but if you want to visit India to understand its amazing culture, the true essence lies elsewhere. And yes, they portray the king as some sort of an inspiration of love but the reality is totally different, which they never acknowledge.
Well, it's not completely like that, but I do agree that some south people hate Hindi and prefer speaking their own language, mostly Tamil people, and that's cuz of a history between the south Indian states and the government of India trying to impose Hindi as the official language. Idk much about North Indians hating South Indian languages but from what I've heard, most of them are pretty chill. We're one nation, and we stand by it. The only people that want to create divides are illiterates
Let me rephrase myself: Officially, the constitution of India was formed in 1950 after the independence in 1947. Thereafter, we were recognized as 'India' due to political manipulation with the reason being that we wanted to 'portray' ourselves as a modern and democratic nation, however the true motive behind this was to destroy the cultural roots of the country, by the likes of British servants like Nehru.
during colonialization Britishers used to send indians to African nation and South American nations for what you call slavery (not exactly they used to say they will return them to indian when work is over but that never happens) mostly for growing opium but when britishers lost the grip on Indian subcontinent and India became democracy all the people who were left there in Africa ,South America remained there.
Those people generally took pride in their culture and never changed the naming style, like you can see people from South America and Africa having indian ancestors names like Sunil Narayan and by religion he could be Muslim ( keep in mind narayan is literally of the most prominent God name in hinduism)
dude, that's not true; most of the cities arent affected due to caste system but it is still rooted in India and I don't think it'll ever vanish because most of the people In India are illiterates but the literacy rate is high on paper as they just need to know how to write their name to be declared as an literate

Tamilnadu is, as a State overall the best
everyone speaks English here, the food is excellent, it's called the state of temples for a reason, the 2nd best beach State after goa, Has a better developed economy and more liberal society than the rest of the country, medical tourism is hot here and the literacy/education rate is really High here

All of finlands population was living in poverty because of the debt and reconstructions after the war so a new generation was needed to fulfill all the workspaces in different industries
