not rlly, it could be chet who is head coach of EG and he would cop the same amount of criticism if not more. In LOCK//IN they looked really good but their roster isn't good enough mechanically. Struggling verse mid tier franchise teams, can't invest all that money when there is no shot to win anything verse teams like LOUD, SEN, FNC, DRX

i wouldn’t say criticisms against her turn sexist quick, it all depends on how you present the argument. if you’re speaking like a sexist prick, your argument is sexist. but if you’re speaking based on statistics and facts then it’s impossible for your argument to be sexist.

this is such a simple concept that a lot of people refuse to accept because people would rather think either any criticism of her is sexist or alternatively they choose not to criticize in fear of being labeled sexist. just point out the facts and as long as you’re confident you’re not sexist, then you’re not sexist

looking at haven you would think that potter is one of the best coaches in the league to almost beat loud with notable less talent on your roster

I cannot understand how they got bcj, a proven top initiator, but decided they won't play him. Very much unlike Sen getting Marved but deciding to keep him benched when they have an incredible player ready to grab you some free rounds!

The two situations are different. Marved was signed to be a 6th man( Admitted by himself at the time he was signed) and BCJ was supposed to be a starter.

I think EG is still keeping Potter somewhat due to the 'women in Valorant' angle; if they can't win, they might as well expand the brand. Long run, this is bad tho as it will negate the actual achievements of women in the scene.

isn't C9 dealing with the same thing? They signed 2 unknown T2 maybe even T3 players in the middle of the season with no practice and they are one of the top teams now in the league. This is clearly a coaching diff. And the roster was potter's choice not EG's

I don't get it. Y'all keep saying that Potter is doing decently given the roster, but I thought teams in T1 want to win like masters or champs, not do decent in regionals. If that is the goal, yeah, Potter is doing decent. If EG want to be a world-class team competing with the likes of FNC and LOUD, a 13-0 should be sign enough that this is not it.

I literally cannot believe I am logging onto vlr to see criticisms of Potter after this game?? Are we gonna ignore the fact that EG completely outprepped Loud on Split and should have won Haven if not for 3 ecos going against them? Yes they did terribly on Pearl with a bad comp (god forbid a team have a bad map) but they played so well against the reigning Champions and finalists of the most recent international competition. Vlr is truly braindead to not recognize how good this bo3 reflects on Potter

2) They won 13-3 on Map 1 and lost 13-0 on Map 3, yet everyone acts like those 2 scores are totally different. They dominated one map, had a very close map, and got dominated on the last map against the #2 team in the world (from Lock-in). No way it doesn't reflect positively...

the way competition works is you dont get applauded for improving in matches, you do that in scrims and practice. For all we know LOUD could be fucking around trying different shit until they realize its enough and tighten the noose to hang EG for a good ol 13-0. Even if thats not the case, nobody cares if ur winning a few rounds more than ur last game or u take 1 map off an opponent if u keep losing the series. Idk, maybe its the fact that EG has no fans or nobody expected them to win which has given Potter and co a get out of jail free card and nobody questions them but the fact that these guys get to play franchised while alot of promising individuals have to sit out is annoying AF.

Just say you don't know what you're talking about. The whole reason EG dominated on Split was because Loud were predictable and successfully anti-stratted by EG, meaning they did EXACTLY what they always do, they weren't fucking around. I think it's funny how you manage to take all of the credit away from EG by how closely they played Loud. I don't think Potter should get a get out of jail free card but I find it funny how people are calling for her to leave when there are worse teams and worst coaches in the leagues.

I think you smoked shit or ate some kind of bacteria and it's lodged in your brain...anyone who watched the Loud Vs EG game today knows that the first map was so well studied and with anti-tactics so well built that it didn't even let the team or at least one of the best teams in the world enter the game.. and comparing Sykko with her is the same idiot, this guy took an unknown and tier 2 of the team he trained and put it in sentinels, and even put it in an igl position, still took the best initiator or at least one of the best in the world and changed of function and still did the same with the controller, all this for the tier 2 player that he brought to feel comfortable in a function, he just did shit since he joined sentinels..
