Whats your guys opinion on KOI before they got into Franchising i thought they were a pretty good T2 that could compete in VCT but woudnt really win anything major.

They played in the VRL Rising Spain but sadly came bottom in groups and then showed up for 2 matches against Leviatan and KRU Esports and nearly qualified for Reb Bull but lost to BIG in GF.

Their roster around this time was:

After Franchising was announced KOI was the last team to announce their new roster and has only signed and announced 4 while the 5th hasnt be we already know who that is.

rogue joined koi and then that roster got a huge upgrade in tactics idk if that has something to do with it but it seems they were fine, also cant really count matches against lev/kru as achievements at the end of the day they didnt have their entire roster because both teams played with 2 stand-ins

A very underrated team. It’s basically Guild reinvented but with a better flex, a somewhat worse initiator, and a hidden gem.

My favourite EMEA partnership team for sure.

Sheydos is by far the best player on this team, and he is easily on Chronicle/nats level but people never give him that credit. Which is actually funny cause I’ve heard both of them say sheydos was the best one of the team

the roster has a lot of experience and room for growth. im just not confident that koldamenta is a top franchise igl. I'm sure he will help develop the roster but I think that will be the limiting factor for this iteration of KOI.

Really?In my opinion Koldamenta is literally the most proven EMEA IGL. He is the only one to reach the top with several teams. Turned Acend into the roster they were on the first place by winning Masters 1, turned G2 into a good team and reached semifinals of Masters 3 (Look what happened to G2 when he left). And then turned Guild into a contender for everything beating OPTC and only loosing to the finalists of the masters they went to

Him and Vanity are the only 2 IGLs in the world to bring more than 1 team to LAN if I’m not wrong

Then who is "top franchise igl"? Koldamenta has more recent success than Redgar for example. I don't really get the Koldamenta slander. Guys is one of the most proven IGLs in EMEA and even in the world. Who is clearly above him? FNS, Benkai, Saadhaak, Boaster, ANGE1, DRX'S IGL? And rest is hard to say considering that Guild got fucked for LCQ so they never even had a chance of making it and we don't know how well they could have done in Champions.

I love the roster, my main doubts are just starxo and Wolfen.

Starxo has already proven himself, he just comes from a bad moment from his team and I hope he can bring his level back up, but I’m pretty confident he will

Wolfen was an amazing chamber and it’s a pretty flexible guy, but I still wanna see how his new role plays out. Chamber was what made him shine the most
