When Optic gets an early pick or something they'll literally shout "Nice!"
When Xerxia are doing well, they just dully relay the information to viewers, but when Optic do well they're hyped up and their whole demeanor and tone is different.

with due respect, it lowkey makes sense since NA is the bigger region and they want to please the fans or some shit like that
plus optic are the obvious favourites to win the game so its a given theyd be more positive towards them
Of course, if you go watch any other regional stream they're all bias to some degree as well. But this is the official Valorant channel, speaking the most internationally accepted language, with castors brought from different regions to cast on this stream, with the 'analysis desk', etc. so they're, at least in my opinion, supposed to be the most neutral and unbiased casting for viewers who may be watching from all corners of the globe.
edit: yeesh why did this get 40+ upvotes?
yeah you may be right, i just siad what i thought was the reason they were being bias, i wasnt trying to justify them actually being biased towards optic
youre right, casters dont respect other regions, is just NA and EMEA. Its so annoying to see that, and is in every stream. They are not professionals. If u could see brazilians casters, they always treat all regions equally, and thats so nice... They respect everyone. And ppl need to stop saying that 'NA is better" bcause since last year they lost to asian regions... That makes me so pist man... the disrespect. Youre so right.
It is not all true, they hype Brazil too in the games, but the matches from the other regions are equal.
L casters, just stream the game and move on, we dont care about your opinion get another job
L take, I'd rather have emotive & personable castors with opinions and insight than mindless robots just casting for they pay check
yeah its really annoying. Especially when casters use words like thank god or i was scared
all DougFPS ever says is "yeah" in agreement of balla so not sure it matters.
doug literally shouted nice! when yay got a pick top mid at the start of a round with a marshal
dougfps is terrible who cares. he sounds like a boomer at the zoo explaining animals to a child.
yah thats bc i fight racism and sexism and most of the forum is for both of that. i wont quit fighting for equality of rights tho. no amount of down votes will stop me from speaking up for women casters and no racism being allowed in valorant community
cap vlr users are mostly respectful and ur just annoying + ratio + leave vlr + get friends
yes ik. that doesn't change the fact though that the main channel is exhibiting tons of bias
no it's the main Valorant stream for anyone watching the event. like there's no EU stream, there are streams targeted for different countries/regions but this one is the main one with the analyst desk, etc.
Well... We have a BR stream with hosts and analysts as well... just saying
I mean, all the language streams have their castors and analyzers of the gameplay, but this is the official Valorant stream, speaking the most internationally accepted language, with castors brought from different regions to cast on this stream, with the 'analysis desk' at the actual event, etc. They should be the least bias and neutral option for casual viewers to enjoy.
I don't get this take. TBH 99% of broadcast talent in Iceland is from EMEA or NA and both always make little comments or remarks about how they want their favorite team or region to win. It's kind of inevitable but if you rly don't like it just watch co streams tbh their better even if you don't mind the commentators bc it just adds to the experience imo
Casters and analysts do say things like that for laughs and giggles, expressing their desire for their region's team to win before the match and during breaks and stuff like that. But not when the game is actually going on. These casters were literally shouting words of encouragement to Optic after they would get a pick, being hype and loud when they were doing well, and dull and quite and almost emotionless when Xerxia were pulling ahead.
That's what I thought, they are basically from NA or EMEA, regions that don't actualle have a separate stream...
OpTic are coming back while Xerxia have the lead. Casters want it to go map 3.
lol I've lived in the US my whole life but that's not stopping me from seeing things through an open-minded perspective 😌
If you go watch any other regional stream they're all bias to some degree as. But this is the official Valorant channel, speaking the most internationally accepted language, with castors brought from different regions to cast on this stream, with the 'analysis desk', etc. so they're, at least in my opinion, supposed to be the most neutral and unbiased casting for viewers who may be watching from all corners of the globe.
ever region has their fair share of braindead people. u are one of them. so all good
supporting a team = being braindead? ah i guess i was actually right. u don't have a single digit braincell in u to think properly. all good tho
Yeah they were so fking biased i mean its the official stream casters are supposed to be the most neutral here
yeah fr man, everyone expected xerxia to win this except delusional na kid, it would've been an upset if optic won that series
there is nothing new, guy called balla never should've been there, maybe not a bad guy idk but idc, he should stay in analyst desk, since i meet him in global tournaments, i've been thinking the same on him ..
I mean true i agree with biased but NA val is one of the nost popular regions regardless of being wash
was the same on the drx vs zeta game, they were non-stop sucking drx and making fun of zeta. They played bad but it just got so annoying after a while
i honestly think the casters were dying inside a little watching their region getting clapped like that by literally the smallest region APAC LOL
sean gares was goated ngl. he loved the game and talked about how a team exicuted their play and if a team did good always hyped them up. sadge he's not casting anymore
Balla is fine and complimented xerxia for good plays but i agree at times doug does seem biased
Stop the presses, English casters hope the best for English teams.
If only there were non-English caster, hmmmmm
Oh wait, there are you fucking moron
ultra common idkmate99 L
go read #6 why even if the main stream is in English it shouldn't be bias
Who are you?
They're casters who cast for a region. A big part of their purpose is to build hype. They're not analysts who need to focus on facts and ignore bias.
Wrong. They're not casters for "a" region. There are casters brought over from different continents. Since you obviously didn't read what I wrote earlier I'll say it here.
If you go watch any other regional stream they're all bias to some degree as well. But this is the official Valorant channel, speaking the most internationally accepted language, with castors brought from different regions to cast on this stream, with the 'analysis desk' at the actual event, etc. so they're supposed to be the most neutral and unbiased casting for viewers who may be watching from all corners of the globe.
If NA casters cast, I just mute the stream or switch to a watchparty, cuz they literally put me to sleep, along with the deep bias towards the home region. EMEA casters are the goat (with an honorable mention to India's local talent, sieh and nekrou).
Bro who cares about casters, we show them results, we don't want casters jinx bro, btw na is so overrated ngl
