With his loan spell in Japan behind him, Flicker returns to KRX without a role quite carved out for him. While it was Flashback last year, this year he will likely be vying for yong's spot in the starting roster. With HYUNMIN locking down the primary Duelist role and free1ng flexing onto secondary Duelist in a flex role of sorts, yong's position as the secondary Controller and Sentinel may be the one area termi looks for a change, if he does decide to make one.

KRX enters Stage 2 at seventh place in the Championship Point standings. Following the conclusion of Champions Paris, the decision was made to run back the entire starting roster. Consequently, instead of sending Flicker to the DRX Academy, the organization loaned him out to CGZ in Challengers Japan.

However, after the loan deal had already been finalized, Flashback unexpectedly announced his retirement. With the transfer market virtually closed, the club signed Hermes as a replacement, but the team failed to deliver good results at Kickoff.

Prior to the start of Stage 1, the team conducted internal trials within the DRX Academy and called up yong. However, because yong was a Sentinel player and the meta demanded a double-Duelist comp, Free1ng was put on Neon—a agent he had never played throughout his entire professional career.

Now, however, Flicker's loan has ended, and he has shown immense potential as a Duelist in Challengers Japan. If Flicker replaces yong in the lineup, Flicker can take over Duelist agents like Neon and Jett. This shift would allow HYUNMIN to play Phoenix, while freeing up Free1ng to return to his original Sentinel role.
